Favorite/Least Favorite Scene
I view In Upendi more of a comedic fantasy sequence than an actual story element, because the only thing I thought of the entire time was this:

"Rafiki! What are you doing! Rafiki! Stahp! You're insane! The two already know they're in love, for crying out loud! No need to direct a musical about it! Rafiki, YOU'RE INSANE!"

Being a fantasy sequence, it conveys the message that love makes crazy stuff happen in the minds of those in love - You know, things like defying Newton's laws of motion, literally holding stars in your hands, using a lilypad as a gondola, sitting on clouds, using large leaves as parachutes, etc, etc.

That's right, I don't hate In Upendi.
This is what I've been trying to state for a while now. Though some thoughts on what you stated I don't entirely agree with, finally finding someone who doesn't "hate" Upendi is almost as fantasy-like as the scene itself. X3

I think the best scene is My Lullaby, I really love that song. Worst is Upendi

Fav scene: The opening has to be my favorite, right up there with Kiara telling Simba that he'll never be Mufasa.
Least fav scene: The rhino chasing scene. I could sit through Upendi okay, but the rhino scene with Kovu being all like, "Fun? What that be?" and Timon yee-hawing...it was just too cheesy to me lol

My favorite scene is when Simba takes his place as King in the Pride Lands in the first movie, because it is a very powerful scene for me. It gives me this confident and brave feeling in my heart right when Rafiki hugs Simba, and he turns away to go walk up onto Pride Rock to claim his place as King. Even though I do like the "Remember who you are scene" quite a bit, I think this one beats that one by just one!

I think my least favorite scene is where Timon and Pumbaa find Simba. I am grateful that they saved him, but every time I watch this scene it makes my head want to explode from Timon & Pumbaa's horrible comic relief. I just don't like the jokes they crack. If someone did that to me I'd be pissed. xD But that's just me. I just don't think what they said was funny, as it was intended to be.

I prefer to think of it as Kiara broadening Kovu's horizons, showing him that life isn't all about revenge and sadistic stuff like that.

There are always happy moments in life. Kovu, being raised in the Outlands, and trained to be a killer, was never really aware of this, until he met Kiara, who opened his eyes and turned his world around.

It's an important scene, but it's cheesier than a cheese-coated cheese sandwich. I happen to agree.

^ LOL, I never really found it cheesy, but I guess it is kinda crazy, now that I think about it.

P.S. I can't believe my topic is still alive. I'm so proud! T-T

Favorite: My Lullaby, He Lives In You, and the scene where we first meet Nuka and Vitani.
Least favorite: The scene where the Outlanders ambush Simba and Kovu always bums me out. Simba was so close to trusting Kovu, maaan.
