Bill of Rights 1789-2011?

Well let it be true and I still wouldn't be surprised. And if by any chance the CIA happens to read my post, I'd say come and get me.

No seriously, I'm not sure if this is true or not but I highly doubt it. Many of the U.S military have children themselves, so alot of them would refuse to unrighteously torture or commit acts of genocide on innocent people (unless they are brainwashed into doing it for the ''greater good'' just like former members of the Death's Head division).

The bill of rights, as it stands, is an empty piece of legislation anyway. When Bush passed the patriot act, he crumpled up the bill of rights and threw it in the trash can.

No, but figuratively he did. If you look closely every "democracy" in the world has some sort of clause where it can persecute people without any evidence without any reason provided. You know why? Because they want to take people they deem "dangerous" to the corrupt government. They just label them as terrorists and that makes it ok to the public.

^ Americans live in a Republic, not a democracy.
They just label them as terrorists and that makes it ok to the public.
Seems to me like it's the new "thing" for the past two presidencies. Kinda odd how both Republicans and Democrats favor that tactic.

Giving liberties and rights is a democratic ideal, not a Republican one. The U.S has a Republic system, but has democratic aspects.

And all "great" countries use this tactic to get rid of anyone who is actually a threat to society as well as a threat to the power of the government. They don't care if you go and protest about dolphins and whales...but just look at how sensitive they are about street demonstrations about the top 1%. Funny how cops are willing to pepper spray and inflict harm without probable grounds during those protests, while in any other they barely lift a finger.

Point is, rights are absolute and if there is any clause that take away rights...then what you have is a privilege, not a right.

A country which is afraid of itself. You people are so paranoid. Making people disappear is part of your false-feared communism. Maybe your society is a threat to society. Secret-but-proud plutocracy.
There are those who complain about the wind, there are those who hope the wind will change, --though the wise-- the wise adjust their sails.

Again Woeler that use of "You People". Be careful with that. And American society is built on the illusion of democracy. That you have say and that you matter in the political process. The American government only cares about holding its power, and how does it do that ? Through money. How does it get money? Through catering to the large corporations that view the American people as farm animals who should be whipped and worked to death.
