As usual, you take on topic, and change to a whole different one. Get back on topic: What makes you think that you're qualified enough to, with 100% certainty, dictate what we should do with our own gun laws, in our own nation, and our own culture.

I do remember that you swore to me that you'll stay away from American related topics. Not only did you fail that in one day, here you are now telling us how we should run our own country. Here's a tip for you: The Netherlands are not perfect themselves. Once they are, I might listen to your advice.

It's not forcing beliefs at all. There is not one single political group in this country that calls for the legalization of guns. It's a combined initiative from our society. We have no desire for them, and we've been pretty good without them. By that logic everyone should be free to own a nuke, even Ahmadinejad.

I'm just replying and arguing to a topic, be it guns, be it happiest country. Stop taking everything personally and stop fighting me as a person.

The proper one is: "The guns is always loaded." It's not telling you that there is always a bullet in it, or that if its empty that you need to put one in, but rather that you always treat it as though it's loaded.

It is not a right to be able to kill people. Guns are designed to kill people. So how is this logically sound?

Guns can be dangerous in the hands of the wrong person. But since it's impossible to define who the wrong person is, banning guns from everyone (with the exception being they're the 0.01% that actually needs a gun) is fair.

We do not have a right to own a gun, any more than we have a right to own a Death Star.

Oh, but Death Stars aren't all that bad! You just don't know how to use one. It's only up to the person in control not to use the superlaser to kill planets. If you learn to operate it safely it will be fine.

The only reason why you don't go around telling others that we need to ban those is because you know that there are other uses for knives apart from killing people. Guess what, Einstein? Same with guns. Just because you don't think guns have any uses doesn't make it a fact.

Exactly right. Guns have no other use, aside from killing someone.

Give me one instance where you need a gun, and it's not to kill someone, or something. Can you think of anything?

I understand you like to shoot guns. If it's a hobby, that's fine. I understand.

I'm a big fan of racing. One day, I want to buy a sports car, even though it's very dangerous. However, even as an auto enthusiast, I would support a law requiring governors to be installed on all cars, to limit speeds to 80MPH. That is simply because I have no reason to ever go faster than that. Nobody needs to go that fast. I can still enjoy the thrill of driving a sports car at legal speeds.

It's the same concept. If you want to own guns, that's fine. But no one living in a civilized society today needs to be able to kill something that quickly. You can still shoot a gun with non-lethal ammunition. You can still defend yourself with non-lethal ammunition, as well as many other methods.

The only reason to ever not ban guns is the fact that we already have them, and taking them away is nearly impossible.

I'll give you that, and that's why the best solution is to do it slowly, with baby steps.
