Scenario -
A bunch of teenagers (well, ranging from 15-22 I'd say) find each other just as the world's falling to pieces. They hear of an island, with food/medicine supplies to last for centuries. But can they make it from city to city to reach the boats? Survival is key. It's the end of the world as they know it, but somehow they still have time for arguments, secrets and romance. They don't just have to fear the walking dead, but the living as well.
Characters -
Aimee - AmyMarie
Matt - Kopalover
Tamra - Werewolfgrrly
Darren - DatLioness
Ryan - Nukascar1
Autumn - Kopalover

Setting -
All of the characters are reasonably close to each other. Where they start off is up to you, but the area range for the beginning is between two cities, a long highway and a forest. You decide where you start with your character. All of them are eventually going to meet and start traveling to the third city and so on.

"Deep breaths. Calm yourself. They aren't as restless during the day". These were the thoughts of 15 year old Aimee. Another day had dawned, but yet, no morning seemed bright to the teenager anymore. Not since her family left. Her house, on the edge of the forest, was boarded up. Safer that way. Although, as she sat in her living room, poking the fireplace she felt lucky to have, she missed daylight from the windows.
She had one window left clear upstairs, but that was just to check if the sun was up or down. She wasn't worried about the smoke, the walkers seemed unresponsive to that. It was just blood that they smelt. The girl gulped, wringing her hands together. She knew it would be time to leave and collect food from the woods soon.
It was day thirty of the apocalypse, and her second week alone. Her parents and little brother managed to get a sacred place at the 'Center' in the furthest city away from here. She sacrificed her place for her little brother, and not once has she regretted it. Although, now her town on the edge of the forest was completely empty, she was lonely. Not that loneliness was her biggest worry. The walkers were.
She finished off the bowl of mushroom soup she had made and placed the bowl in the bucket of rainwater, she'd do the dishes later. She never really cared for housework. Aimee walked to the front door, and peaked through the tiny gap. To her relief, no walkers were directly outside. Before she opened the door, she reached out for her shotgun and her knife. Her father had given it to her for protection.
Aimee had no idea what type of shotgun it was, all she knew was how to load it, fire it and conserve ammo. She had lots of ammo, but not enough to last forever. She had her knife though, the gun was for emergencies. She knew it would be time to move out from the house entirely soon, but she was reluctant to leave the saftey she had at the moment. Before she dwelled on her thoughts for too long, she opened the door, shut it tight, and made her way to the forest.
