Zombie Apocalypse (Closed)

Postby UncoordinatedPisces » November 7th, 2012, 8:22 pm

Scenario -
A bunch of teenagers (well, ranging from 15-22 I'd say) find each other just as the world's falling to pieces. They hear of an island, with food/medicine supplies to last for centuries. But can they make it from city to city to reach the boats? Survival is key. It's the end of the world as they know it, but somehow they still have time for arguments, secrets and romance. They don't just have to fear the walking dead, but the living as well.

Characters -

Aimee - AmyMarie
Matt - Kopalover
Tamra - Werewolfgrrly
Darren - DatLioness
Ryan - Nukascar1
Autumn - Kopalover
Alice - Shadowfax
Jake - Werewolfgrrly

Setting -
All of the characters are reasonably close to each other. Where they start off is up to you, but the area range for the beginning is between two cities, a long highway and a forest. You decide where you start with your character. All of them are eventually going to meet and start traveling to the third city and so on.

---------------------------------------------------------
"Deep breaths. Calm yourself. They aren't as restless during the day". These were the thoughts of 15 year old Aimee. Another day had dawned, but yet, no morning seemed bright to the teenager anymore. Not since her family left. Her house, on the edge of the forest, was boarded up. Safer that way. Although, as she sat in her living room, poking the fireplace she felt lucky to have, she missed daylight from the windows.

She had one window left clear upstairs, but that was just to check if the sun was up or down. She wasn't worried about the smoke, the walkers seemed unresponsive to that. It was just blood that they smelt. The girl gulped, wringing her hands together. She knew it would be time to leave and collect food from the woods soon.

It was day thirty of the apocalypse, and her second week alone. Her parents and little brother managed to get a sacred place at the 'Center' in the furthest city away from here. She sacrificed her place for her little brother, and not once has she regretted it. Although, now her town on the edge of the forest was completely empty, she was lonely. Not that loneliness was her biggest worry. The walkers were.

She finished off the bowl of mushroom soup she had made and placed the bowl in the bucket of rainwater, she'd do the dishes later. She never really cared for housework. Aimee walked to the front door, and peaked through the tiny gap. To her relief, no walkers were directly outside. Before she opened the door, she reached out for her shotgun and her knife. Her father had given it to her for protection.

Aimee had no idea what type of shotgun it was, all she knew was how to load it, fire it and conserve ammo. She had lots of ammo, but not enough to last forever. She had her knife though, the gun was for emergencies. She knew it would be time to move out from the house entirely soon, but she was reluctant to leave the saftey she had at the moment. Before she dwelled on her thoughts for too long, she opened the door, shut it tight, and made her way to the forest.

It was that day the day when supplies had run out for Ryan there was nothing else here. Little food little water the only thing he had was his Mosin ten stripper clips of ammo and some dorritoes and pepsi. He got out of bed that morning and put his usual clothing on. Combat trousers, hiking boots a Queen Chrysalis shirt, a large black rucksack and a army patten jacket. He loaded his gun and took one last look at his house before heading out.

He got into his small car and set his prized Mosin Nagant in the passenger seat. It had been painted purple with Luna's cutie mark on the butt. He began driving slowly hoping he could find some shelter and food, it had been a while since he had been driving in the heat of the daytime. And still he hadn't encountered anything aside from a group of zombies feasting by the side of the road a couple miles back. It was getting rather lonesome his thoughts drifted back to happier times when he and his friends would watch My Little Pony. Alas those days were over these were the days now.

Alice awoke with a start. She had taken to sleeping in the large tree in the park as it provided safety and if the undead turned up, she would have plenty of warning. Groaning, she raised her head from the large branch she had been lying on. Sleep was hard to get these days and she hadn't slept well at all in these dark times. At the foot of the tree were the remains of a zombie who had managed to unfortunately come across her and she had not even given it the chance to look at her before she hacked it's limbs and head off with her faithful katana which was on her back in it's sheath.

Alice turned her head and looked over to the sleeping form of her trusty pup, Dusk. She had found him the day after the outbreak occurred and she had not let him out of her sight since, nor had he left Alice's sight. The pup was about seven months old, small, but determined. He was a jet black german Shepard, with deep purple eyes. She reached out and stroked the back of his head and the pup whined softly causing Alice to smile gently.

Up ahead was another undead wandering the streets and she sighed. Reaching for her leg holster, she pulled out a small hand gun and aimed. The bullet went straight through the zombies head and it fell to the floor dead. Alice smirked and slid the gun back into it's holster before leaping down off the tree.

Tamra sighed heavily and shifted her position. The tree she was sitting in was beginning to irritate her rump, especially after spending several days in it, only coming down for necessities. She pulled on her leather jacket and fingered her dad's Glock, who's holster was strapped to her thigh, right below her short, black shorts and over her grey leggings. At the thought of he dad, Tamra began to think about the last few moments she'd had with them. It was in panic. It was about a week ago, her parents and she had hidden in their apartment-the undead were satisfied for two or so weeks by the people fleeing them on the streets. Then they'd wandered into buildings. Only a few minutes before she had had to leave, her dad had given her his old Army duffel bag to stuff a few of her belongings into and her mom had collected her archery equipment. Then her dad practically shoved out the window onto the fire escape, then had handed her his Glock and said,"I love you." Then she'd fallen through the rusty metal, and had to hurry away from her mom, her dad, and her dog.
Tamra started as her booted foot slipped forward. "Whoa! Close one!" She muttered to herself. She was just starting to relax again when she heard bushes rustling in the distance. She reached for her bow and laid it in her lap, as she reached for an arrow.
She knocked the arrow and anchored it near the corner of one of her yellow, wolf-like eyes. She took a deep breath as a zombie emerged from a nearby thicket, it's pace uneven and unsettling. She released her breath as she released her arrow, then smirked triumphantly as the arrow buried itself in the undead's skull, right between the eyes.

She dropped lightly to the ground, her bow and quiver swung across the back of her leather jacket, her dad's black Ranger's duffel bag slung across her shoulder, and the remainder of her meager supplies belted across her waist. She approached the deceased zombie and pulled her arrow out of its corpse, wrinkling her nose in disgust as blood splattered her leggings. They found me, she thought, time to move on. She zipped her jacket up over her black tank top and flipped her bangs out of her eyes.

Almost an hour of wary trekking and being acutely aware later, Tamra noticed the sound of a car. Zombies don't drive cars, she thought. She turned and dashed away from her current position, following her ears.
She soon found herself by a road, a car swiftly approaching. She hurried into the road and waved her hands. She realized, only too late, that she shouldn't have gotten in front of the car.
"Ah!" She groaned as she rolled up the front of the car, then off the side. She held her leg and stumbled to her feet as the car screeched to a halt.

A teenager, with brown hair trudged through the endless amounts of trees. He kept his hands close the the holisters on his side which carried his two pistols. On his back was a very, large sniper rifle, usually he used it at far ranges. He kept safe distances away from the creatures, as a single bite could easily change him too.

His eyes flickered from tree to tree, but not a single noise was to be heard. Until, he heard footsteps, but not the usual dragging footsteps of the Walkers, but human footsteps. He slowed to a stop, and lifted his head slightly higher. "Who is out there." He called out, unaware a blonde female's home was in the premisis. "I won't hurt you."

~~~
Autumn Gardner strutted down the highway, keeping her crossbow in her arms, her extra arrows on her back and a knife strapped to her bicep. A bag of food, clothes and such other supplies rested off her shoulder. She had left her family behind to find a refugee center, and when she came back they were gone, not dead, gone. They had been evacuated from the house, and she hadn't seen them since.
It was mainly quiet on the highway, barley any Biters from the cities would venture out this far. All that surrounded her was highway and a forest, and nothing but this was around for miles. Travelling between cities would be easier with a car, but in this world, such luxuries don't exist.
Aimee was just picking some decent looking green plants. She needed to stock up on food, and she was glad the pages of survival handbooks had been imprinted in her memory. She didn't like to be on the forest floor for too long, in case she had to make a dash for it. She was lucky that today the house was closer to where she was looking around than usual, and you could even call this part of the forest her land.
When she heard the crunching of leaves and twigs, she instinctively pulled out her knife. She stood up silently, back to a tree. She glanced around it and saw a guy. She realized he wasn't a walker when he began to speak. He was fine, for now. Walking out from behind the tree, in full view of the stranger, she eyed him up. Young, strong looking, easy on the eyes. He was armed too.
"You bitten?", she called out, knowing all too well people weren't always what they seem. She had met a person in the woods a few days back, but they deceived her and she ended up having a dead body in the kitchen. She didn't use the kitchen anymore.
Alice wandered over to the undead and pushed it over. She always did this as there had been two occasions she had killed someone she knew. This one however, she had no clue who he was so gave a sign of relief. Dusk was soon leaping from branch to branch untill he landed next to his mistress. Alice pat him gently on the head.
"Time to leave boy, that one will attract more" She said in a wise, though angry voice.
Turning back towards the tree, Alice began grabbing the remainder of her things and pushing them into a small bag. She didn't have alot left, just the essentials such as a first aid kid, food, water and a walkie. She didn't know where the other was, but kept it with her just incase anyone ever radioed her or she could connect to a network.
With the sun coming up, Alice decided it was safe to move. They seemed less active during the day here, though it was never completely safe anywhere anymore.
Ryan breathed in heavily as he braked other survivors just what he had been looking for but then again if they were stupid enough to run in front of a car they may be to dull to survive. He stopped the car as his heart started to beat faster and harder anyone could be a danger he rolled down the window as he placed his hand on the hilt of a nine inch dagger. "Hey you outta watch yourself." He said from the open window.
He looked at the person who had decided to stand in the way of car the sun had started to come up and the light began to shine of the car.
