The Lion King, as far as lions go, only keeps general knowledge of how pride works, but for the most part, ditches the real system in favor of a human one. Remember that the Pride Lands are a kingdom, and not simply a pride's territory. And the only known kingdoms were human ones.
So when Disney wants to make Mufasa act 'kingly', they can't go to a pride and see how a lion behaves. They go to the history books to see how human kings acted, and apply that to a pride of lions.
As for racism: Mufasa and Sarabi, both major
good characters, are both voiced by black actors. Remind me again how that's racist?
It says it's racist because the cast of the hyenas is rejected and not considered to be intelligent and dumb.
But I don't get it

.
I think that the realisator didn't thought at all about that, and just wanted to make an animated movie with universal values. I think that in the end, the racism and the sexism are accuring under Scar's reign, to parody this and things such as dictatorships, so one of morals would be: sexism, racism and dictatoships are bad.
That's my opinion
