Using previous memberHQ threads system

Hi! Welcome to the Feedback forum.
Before reading anything or asking anything; please check out the FAQs. Your question might be in there. However if you want a better understanding after reading the FAQs, like if it didn't explain it good enough, then by all means ask your question.

Please read the following before posting in this forum...

In this forum you will see an Announcement, and several "sticky" topics. The announcement is the Universal Board Rules. If you are new, read this before doing anything else! The sticky topics will stay above and separated from normal user-made topics in the forum. This is because they outline important information about the board. If you see a sticky topic concerning your issue, please reply with your question or concern in the correct topic. Moderators will see your reply within these topics. Before asking your question, be sure to read the topic and its first page especially. It contains information about your issue that is valuable and may even answer your questions. If the topic does not answer your question, ask your question within the topic, not the forum. If no sticky topic concerns your issue, then you are welcome to ask your own questions by creating a new topic within the forum.

Thank you for keeping the Board Help forum organized!

Very funny. This is al a huge discussion. I bet nothing will happen in the end and the spam will still be spam.

Add spamming to this rule and we're done. Trolling, baiting, flaming, abusing, or bullying others.

All this arguing is pointless just establish discipline and the spamming will be cut down.

Are you saying that people come to MyLionKing.com/Forum to only post in their own chat thread and the "How are you feeling" topic...
Khanu, who's the moderator watching the chatroom?, I mean, as I can see, technology is advanced enough to do it automatically, or not?
Technology is advanced to do what? :? That made no sense lol
I mean, the chatroom, it has an automatic restrinction for people, you've got to be around in mlk for x time and have x number of posts before you can use it.

and about what you mentioned before, shall we go through your first posts?, tell me, which sections are they from?... isn't my point being proved?

I think we're all missing the basic idea here:
About chat threads, Why don't we make 1, 2 or even 3 "official" threads for everyone to talk?, instead of having thousands of these that sometimes aren't even active.
Every member does not need their own chat room.

Spamming is different from posting something useless.

Double posting is, technically, spamming.

Creating a random topic is not spamming. It's just a random topic.

We need to identify the root of the problem though. It's painfully obvious this thread was made because new members don't know how to post. We could make them start out in the TLK sections, but then what about when they reach the limit? Then the den is spammed by them. There must be a way to stop all the random topics from being created.

Where a member decides to post first is irrelevant. Whither or not a member chooses to post in TLK areas is all that matters. Your argument is about spam; not where everyone posts first. Therefore spam is eternal and you will never rid the forum of it. Accept that you are going to have it and deal with it. It's that simple.

Wither or not they need one doesn't matter; they should have the right to have one.

This seems sensible. Identify the root and act toward fixing the root.

At the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, that is sort of a bad idea

Well, people will always be annoyed by it, and others will be annoyed by people being annoyed. There must be some way to fix this.

At least we should stop calling it a lion king forum, because it's far from that.

Whether or not anyone has that right is entirely up to Moka. Ultimately, this is his website.

No we should call it a Lion King Themed General Discussion Forum as Az brought across.

While I don't speak for him, I am confident he is not one of totalitarianism. I believe he would see everyone's points of view and decide what is best for the forum.
