Do you believe in "Magical Creatures"?

Yeah I agree about the dragons. I think they must've been out there at one point or another. So many different cultures have their own similar versions of that kind of creature that never had contact with each other. There had to be something at least similar to a dragon that existed.
I believe that dragons at least existed once, but many years ago. I know this isn't worth anything to a lot of you but there is even evidence in the Bible that hints at dragons and dinosaurs. And real life evidence would be some of the dinosaur bones that have been discovered. There are a few dinosaur skulls that have an extra passageway either near the nostrils or the mouth that no one knows what they're there for. I believe that those passage ways are for the flames they used to emit, this making these skulls not dinosaurs, but dragons.

They've also recently discovered a tiny living specimen that is considered a dragon of today. It doesn't breathe fire, but it has "wings" and can at least glide for some distances. It's called Draco Volans.

I can't disagree with you. even in the book of job at chapter 40 verse 15 we are told about a big mighty creature called ''behemoth''. it is described as an untameable fierce herbivore with bones like iron bars and a tail like a cedar tree. no way is that an elephant or hippopatamus. in my opinion it resembles a mighty sauropod.

but better be carefull what you say. there may be certain persons dwelling arround here who won't take this kindly. especially if we won't accept science as our ''god''.

Lol quit throwing hidden insults at each other guys.

ANYWAY, like you said, the section in the book of Job was one of the ones I was talking about. But I know that we have members here with different beliefs which is why I gave one example using the Bible and then another example using real life evidence.

very interesting, I googled Draco Volans and it really looks like a little dragon. another interesting fact is that the word ''dinosaur'' didn't excist till it was invented by some scientist in the late 18s. who knows what they were called before that. have you also seen the carcasse of a dead plesiosaur-like creature taken aboard on a japanese fishing boat? VERY interesting... who knows, they're not instinct at all.

Yes I honestly believe that dragons, at least, did exist at some point. The original ones might not be alive today, due to dying off or being hunted to death. Or perhaps they've "evolved" into a few of the lizards we have running around today. Times change, so do creatures.

"Humans evolved from apes, its a shame some of them didn't quite make the transition."
But it kind of makes sense, humans evolved so its not impossible the dragons did.

However I still am not buying it though, dragons might have /might still exist in the universe, but not as we know them on Earth.

Well, we don't know what life (if any) exists on other planets. And I think dragons in the fire breathing, flying even though they weigh stupid weights etc sense, are more likely to have existed elsewhere.
I believe the theory that dinosaurs and dragons are one and the same thing ^^ I can explain this in more depth tomorrow =P
dude, at 1987 they searched for 5 days with 20 boats in the lake for the monster, and they found 3 big moving objects at a dept of between 150 and 180 meters, but the search had to be called of due a lack of money. at an expidition in 2000 they also found a big object from about 5 meters long with sonar, but before they could check out what it was, they lost it. these facts conclude there is/was something big in that lake, enough said. they only lack evidence that it is a plesiosaur because it hasn't been FOUND. but there indeed is or was ''something'' big living in that waters, or it IS/WAS at least possible there was something. And that beast is likely to enter and leave the lake if it can't find any food.
The 1987 search revealed a 3 "things" in the lake, which were all concluded to be anything from a seal to a group of salmon swimming together. And google has no knowledge of this expedition in 2000, so if you could provide some citation for that, it'd be appreciated.
So now I am a liar all of a sudden? you surely seem to be someone who takes conclusions about others very quickly.
When you say one thing, and then say something else that negates the first statement, it's called a contradiction. In other words: lying. So, yes, that would in fact make you a liar. It's not exactly a difficult conclusion to come to... >.>

Also, accusing me of jumping to conclusions too quickly whilst simultaneously jumping to conclusions about me is not an effective way to make a point.

Cute. However, I'm fairly certain this isn't a thread about religion, so I'd recommend you keep your potshots at atheism, and your preconceived notions about atheists, out of it. Thanks.
