Well, it might sound nice, but it`s a very empty language. In English there`s "avalanche", but in norwegian it`s "snøskred", which literally means "snowslide". Instead of inventing a new word, they just put together two words.
The worst example is what some people in Norway call a frisbee, which is "sendeplate". That literally means "sending plate". How unoriginal is that? Still, pretty much everyone in Norway uses frisbee, I`ve just seen that word in some sport shops.
Norwegian: "Er det det det er". English: "Is that what it is".
Norwegian: "Fart". English: "Speed".
