Kim Jong Il is dead

@woeler that old pig only cared about himself, and not ''all'' people in his pathetic country. he tends to be nice to his own people as long they worship him. people who didn't worship him or were loyal to him, (Especially christians), he persecuted and have them arrested and send into concentration camps. one of these camps is known as camp 22. the prisoner's there were killed, starved, and submitted as test victems for biological weapons. kim jong il was a pure-evil greedy selfish bastard. he persecuted many of his own people, and FORCED all of his citizens to worship him. he had zero tolerance for christians or any other relegious movements that weren't loyal to him.

but still... who am I to judge, besides all the facts I mentioned about him?

smart? I'd say FAR from smart, lol. forcing his own people to love him because everyone hates him, isn't exactly ''smart'', but rather a poor attempt to increase his fame and popularity. if you ask me, the entire north korea was like ÓNE big concentration camp itself.

^he succeed in keeping his people shut off from the world outside of north korea and he got everyone in the country to listen to him. He kept 24 million people in the dark for years, that can be classified as smart. And no it was not! As long as you did what the government told you, you were in no danger at all. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but what I am saying is that Mr. George W. Bush gave us a wrong image of north korea. Why? because they have nuclear weapons.

Kim Jong-Ill was a weird, bad and extremely horrible person to the people who were against him. He has done things to people that are simply beyond our reasoning. Still no reason to call it a concentrationcamp. The government pays for the people. They miss certain freedoms which is indeed wrong. However I see democracies in our world failing to give their people a home and proper health insurance.

Umm, such as food? =P

Millions of people have starved in North Korea as a result of Kim Jong Il's negligence, and it continues to this day. It's called a concentration camp because people are starving and they aren't allowed to leave. It's not an awful comparison, I don't think. :3

And yes, he did also violently persecute those who didn't conform to his demands of worship. Additionally, it's been researched that the health care, like everything else Kim Jong Il touched, was horrifically corrupt and ineffective. And the universal schooling you mentioned is more appropriately described as brainwashing, I think. The perception I'm talking about isn't from the lens of George Bush, it's from independent journalism, Amnesty International investigations, and escaped North Koreans.

^oh I thought that name was because of the people that get killed.
No not food, at least the books I read didn't talk about food. I guess not when I see the numbers. I think north Korea can be compared to the feudal system. But still people know only one side of the story.

My link already asserted that health care is not even close to sufficient or universal. The fact that they are starving in large number makes me doubt that they have access to clean water (also, Amnesty International revealed they do not have clean water for medical use, so how do they get it for consumption?) Where be yer' sources, yarr'?
