Gaddafi was actually cooperating with the US and Europe on so many levels, they actually will probably have less access to Libya's oil in the new Government, and they knew this from the start. I couldn't tell you the exact reason for their intervention, but in this case, seems like oil wasn't it.[/quote]
this is 100% about oil! There are many African countries where hundreds of thousands were killed, where unrest is ongoing... But there are no operations conducted there. They knew the resistance would take over the country eventually and if we didn't help them it would probably completely re-arrange the oil-exports and the contracts. there is no such thing as ''international war for human rights'' there are only civil wars for human rights.
