If you kill 1 idiot, another 10 will stand up. It's just like the Taliban or Al-Qaeda. besides this man has ruled this country for 40 years and nobody said a thing, now there's an uprising and suddenly all the NATO countries think that he is a cruel dictator. I mean really? after 40 years. please just say that it's about the oil. Everybody knows anyway. NATO doesn't give a S*** about the people who live there or their human rights.

Gaddafi was actually cooperating with the US and Europe on so many levels, they actually will probably have less access to Libya's oil in the new Government, and they knew this from the start. I couldn't tell you the exact reason for their intervention, but in this case, seems like oil wasn't it.

this is 100% about oil! There are many African countries where hundreds of thousands were killed, where unrest is ongoing... But there are no operations conducted there. They knew the resistance would take over the country eventually and if we didn't help them it would probably completely re-arrange the oil-exports and the contracts. there is no such thing as ''international war for human rights'' there are only civil wars for human rights.

Yeah he was just a tyrant basically, and was known to deal with things in a violent way. So in February of this year the people of Libya (or some of them at least) started to protest his reign, and he imported troops to kill off the protesters which led to the Libyan civil war. He was captured and killed in the end though (not that it's surprising that a whole country eventually overthrew the reign of a single man)
