I think I'm the only one who kind of likes SP Nala. Idk why though :P

Maybe if Broderick put some oomph in his performance it would've been better IMHO :B

Well I totally prefer SP Nala over SP Simba to be honest. At least she's smart enough to realise that judging Kovu is wrong xD

Same. I'd much prefer her if she actually did something instead of smiling throughout the whole movie, though.

I picked "A loving father", "I love SP Simba" and "he follows Mufasa closely".

Everyone has at least one flaw in themselves. No one can be perfect because there is no such thing. With Simba's overprotectiveness of Kiara, it does seem annoying or whatever, but it's only because he loves and cares for her so much. I can understand this because their father-daughter relationship is the exact same way as me and my father, but that's just me. What makes "We Are One" as my favorite TLK song is that I love the way he teaches the message to Kiara (even though she didn't understand until she was an adult). The lyrics tell the moral of the whole movie. Simba's older and he's also wiser. All thoses misleading judgements he made about Kovu and Simba exiling Kovu do seem like bad things to look at, but he did it for a reason. There's always a reason for something. It is not like he did those things because he felt like it. At the end, I loved how he apologized to Kovu. He realized why he was wrong and allowed him to join his pride and become his heir. If Simba never apologized to Kovu, that would've been worse, but luckily he did. As for him being like Mufasa, of course, he loved him very much because they had such a wonderful father-son relationship. His father is his guidance for when he struggles and admirer when it comes to being a king. Mufasa was able to teach Simba a very important lesson that was put into wise words. Simba teaches Kovu the same way, but differently. To me, one is his best lines is "Sometimes, what's left behind can grow better than the generation before...if given the chance." He was giving Kovu a chance to prove himself. This is all my perspective and feelings about Simba in SP.

For me, this character has far too many flaws and his voice actor failed to perform him well enough. He does have a few redeeming qualities I guess.

In SP, Simba is quite a bad lion. But I blame the writers. The entire concept of SP was to have Simba make bad decisions (According to 'Proud of Simba's Pride'). It seems that the writers went on with that for a bit too long...

Im have never been sure about Simla in sp. His personality seemed to be a stereotype over protective father. Sambas Pride had its flaws and this was one of them. SP was made for money not quality, it is what it is. :)
What makes "We Are One" as my favorite TLK song is that I love the way he teaches the message to Kiara (even though she didn't understand until she was an adult). The lyrics tell the moral of the whole movie.
Yet Simba failed to understand his own teaching. Interesting.

Which is... what? Racism? Discrimination of one's background and family? Or just plain arrogance? Doesn't sound like a just ruler to me.
Simba teaches Kovu the same way, but differently. To me, one is his best lines is "Sometimes, what's left behind can grow better than the generation before...if given the chance." He was giving Kovu a chance to prove himself.
And ditched him 5 seconds later despite Kovu not even laying a hand on him and telling him that he's innocent?

I also fail to see how Simba is like Mufasa. They're way too different.

Mufasa was just.
Mufasa didn't need guidance from his father, he knew how to get things done by himself.
Mufasa was A GOOD FATHER.

Well I should have read the first post in his thread, because I only picked one option. I voted for He is a loving father, because that is what comes across as one of Simba's strongest character traits. What so many people see as him being a jerk and exiling Kovu was done because he thought he was protecting his daughter from a lion that was pulling her heartstrings for evil purposes. Also don't forget the reason that Kovu joined Simba's pride in the first place to Kill Simba, so Simba's initial mistrust of Kovu was actually the right call for him to make.

I voted for overprotective and loving father.

Yes, SP Simba is very overprotective of Kiara, which really bugs me. But at the same time, I think he`s a caring, loving father. He wouldn`t be so protective if he didn`t love Kiara and worried about her safety.
