I picked "A loving father", "I love SP Simba" and "he follows Mufasa closely".
Everyone has at least one flaw in themselves. No one can be perfect because there is no such thing. With Simba's overprotectiveness of Kiara, it does seem annoying or whatever, but it's only because he loves and cares for her so much. I can understand this because their father-daughter relationship is the exact same way as me and my father, but that's just me. What makes "We Are One" as my favorite TLK song is that I love the way he teaches the message to Kiara (even though she didn't understand until she was an adult). The lyrics tell the moral of the whole movie. Simba's older and he's also wiser. All thoses misleading judgements he made about Kovu and Simba exiling Kovu do seem like bad things to look at, but he did it for a reason. There's always a reason for something. It is not like he did those things because he felt like it. At the end, I loved how he apologized to Kovu. He realized why he was wrong and allowed him to join his pride and become his heir. If Simba never apologized to Kovu, that would've been worse, but luckily he did. As for him being like Mufasa, of course, he loved him very much because they had such a wonderful father-son relationship. His father is his guidance for when he struggles and admirer when it comes to being a king. Mufasa was able to teach Simba a very important lesson that was put into wise words. Simba teaches Kovu the same way, but differently. To me, one is his best lines is "Sometimes, what's left behind can grow better than the generation before...if given the chance." He was giving Kovu a chance to prove himself. This is all my perspective and feelings about Simba in SP.
