Having had about enough of Kivuli’s attitude, Simba spoke up in a stern voice. It was bad enough that the grey furred male spoke ill to him, but Simba would not stand idly by and let Kivuli adopt the same tone towards such a highly respected member of his Pride.
”Hold your tongue Kivuli when you address Rafiki. His knowledge and place within my pride deserves the utmost respect from all creatures and I will not allow for you to take up that tone of voice with him.”
Turning to speak to Rafiki once more, Simba was astonished to find that in the split second his attention was averted towards Kivuli, Rafiki had taken an abrupt leave, which often was the case with him. One could never expect or rely on Rafiki staying in one place for very long. Shrugging this fact off however, Simba returned his gaze back to Kivuli and spoke once again.
”I guess it’s up to me to deal with this situation now. Kivuli, I have no choice but to order you to stay away from Mila. Seeing as there is nothing happening between you two, that shouldn’t be a problem now, should it?” Simba stated, giving a rather smug smirk as he met with Kivuli’s fiery red eyes.
Figuring that at least by not banishing Kivuli altogether, which he truly wanted to do by this point, Simba would be giving Kivuli the benefit of the doubt and wouldn’t seem entirely like the bad guy in this case. Turning to face Mila, Simba spoke in a serious fashion.
”I don’t want you near Kivuli Mila Sweetie. I’m only looking out for your well being and if I catch him with you again, I will have no other option than to banish him…” Simba turned to face Kivuli as he muttered the last word. again.”
Knowing that he had other matters to attend to, Simba spoke directly to the small group of felines centered around The Private Waterhole.
”Now I ask that you all leave here. I need to speak with these new lions who have come to our lands in private.”
Taking a seat, Simba waited for everyone to follow his orders, flashing Kivuli a cold stare while he watched him take his leave.
