Finally beginning to stir, Simba awoke with his typical long winded stretch and yawn, taking a look around the main den to get familiarized with who was still around. Only spotting Vitani, who seemed to be sleeping in late as he had, the king decided to let her be, noting her actions of the previous night which hadn’t gone unnoticed by him. Quietly making his way out of the den, his dry maw encouraged Simba to make his way towards The Private Waterhole, taking the back path to get there, unwilling to show himself for the time being, knowing that he had slept in way too late as usual. Even though he was the king, Simba still upheld a level of dignity that he considered to be crucial in the eyes of the creatures around him and more importantly, to his fellow Pride Members.
As the king arrived at the secluded waterhole, he noticed that there wasn’t anyone around. Figuring that both Daxis and Gumu had already gotten a jump on the day, Simba merely ignored this fact, making his way towards the clear water and taking a long, refreshing drink from the pristine pool. Once his thirst was quenched, the king finally took note of the distant creatures who seemed to come into view only after his own wants had been filled. Perking up his ears and straining his vision to get a better picture of what was going on, Simba could make out the small image of Daxis and another lioness. Rising to his paws, Simba slowly started to make his way towards the two felines, recognizing the young lioness as being Laini as he got closer.
A low growl emitted from the king’s muzzle as he caught wind of what Daxis was blatantly shouting at the poor lioness. By the looks of her, she was obviously agitated and unsure of what to do in the young male’s presence. Feeling his limits tested already by this unruly adolescent, Simba let out a irritated roar as he charged Daxis. In a single movement, he had the smaller male easily pinned under his fore paws as he glared down at him with a cold stare.
”By the Kings, what is your problem Daxis! Threatening another member of my pride after I clearly warned you about such actions? Do you not listen or do you just choose not to obey the laws of my lands, hmm? Well, speak up! Explain yourself now or so help me, I will take immediate action against you.”
Giving the male a chance to explain himself, Simba looked over at Laini with a stare that indicated for her to stay put. Even though he assumed that Daxis was the cause of this drama, he couldn’t be for certain as Laini’s actions were never very apparent most of the time either. Even if he did trust Laini more than this arrogant adolescent, he still had to give Daxis the benefit of the doubt and let him state his side of the story before he passed judgment.

Nala smiled from the way Mila referred to her being her mother, sending a surge of pride to course through her veins as she continued to watch the two felines intently. Speaking once there was a break in the conversation between her two fellow Pride Members, the cream colored queen giggled in an amused fashion.
”Oh Mila, don’t waste your energy on Daxis. With the way he acts, I have a feeling he won’t last long in our pride. You know how forgiving Simba is but even he has his limits when it comes to those who disobey the law. I’ll give him three moons before he’s out on his tail in The Outlands.”
Laughing casually to ensure that she was joking for the most part, as Nala never wished misfortune upon any creature, the queen once more, quieted down and allowed for Mila and Gumu to resume their conversation if they so chose to, lightly scratching her belly with a fore paw as she kept her ears perked.
