Vah slowly pulled away from Kiara and stood up, shaking his head in disagreement to Kiara. He turned from her and walked a couple of metres away. She shouldn't be feeling sorry for him, in fact, she should be telling Vah how stupid he was to leave his family. That's how he felt at the moment: an idiot, a fool, a coward...If Vah had stayed with His family, maybe everything would've been fine. He could still be living with his family, not needing to worry about everything he needed to now that he was a rogue. When he left, it probably left the whole pride in disarray. Him leaving was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to say.

 Vah hung his head, ashamed of the fact that he deserted his pride. He was the heir to their throne, yet he left them with no second thoughts. "Kiara, don't be sorry. It's my fault that my pride probably no longer exists now. For all I know, my parents could be dead. Dead because of me. Because I left them." Vah stated bluntly, knowing that he was probably right in saying that the pride had split because of him leaving. He was afraid to turn and look at Kiara because he feared that she would be disgusted by the fact that Vah had no remorse for leaving his family.

He slowly walked up to the side of the den and unsheathed his claws. He began dragging them slowly up the wall diagonally for a few seconds before forcefully and suddenly dragging them the rest of the way up very quickly. "Why?! Why the hell did I think leaving was the best option! Vah shouted out; he couldn't hold his anger in any longer. That anger was only aimed at himself. Again, Vah slashed the wall with his claws, engraving the stone as he did so. He slashed at the stone once more, this time letting out all of his anger. Vah's heart rate had increased and his breathing was a lot faster than it previously was.

He stopped and just stood there for a while, still facing away from Kiara. He managed to calm himself down but now tears started forming and they slowly made their way down his cheeks. The tears stung when they hit Vah's wound, but he hardly noticed; physical pain wasn't something he cared about now. "Kiara...I-I'm a coward. I should never have left my pride..." Vah tried not to show that he was, in fact, crying, but he didn't really care if Kiara found out.

==========

Vitani watched her best friend gradually make her way around Antelope and end up behind it, almost directly opposite to where Vitani was positioned. She looked down to the ground and took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down. She wouldn't mess this hunt up. She couldn't mess it up. That was, unless they wanted to go hungry. That wasn't really something Vitani was keen on right now, but yeah...She looked back up to the Antelope and decided to make her move.

She started walking towards the Antelope, planning on gradually building up the pace before she-CRACK. Vitani looked down at the ground noticed she had carelessly stepped on a large stick. Horrified, she quickly turned her attention to the Antelope. To her dismay, the animal had its ears perked up and looked as if it was about to run. Wasting no time at all, Vitani sprinted towards the Antelope. As soon as it saw the lioness, the animal bolted in a random direction. Unfortunately, that direction was absolutely not where Vitani wanted it to go. "Fadhili!" she called out, wanting her friend to start following her. She then swiftly turned her attention to the fleeing Antelope again and tried as hard as she could to catch up with it.

Kiara just stared at Vah as he pulled away and walked away from her. She literally shrinked once he screamed, having never seen him angry at all before. She was actually scared for a moment, but she soon calmed down after he did. All of his words were somehow familliar, because everything he felt about himself was just what Kiara would be feeling about herself if she still had her memory. It caused her to go through another hard headache, but this time it was just a headache and there was no flashback combined with it. As soon as it passed, she got up and slowly walked over to Vah, "Vah... please don't say that..." she hated seeing him like that.

==========

Fadhili continued waiting for her friend to make the first move. She stood completely still untill she suddenly heard the branch cracking, which caused her to gulp as she continued looking at the antelope. As soon as she was sure of which way the antelope would run to, the lioness immediately began running in that direction. She didn't really pay alot of attention to where her friend was. All her mind was focused on was that if she missed that antelope, then they would be hungry for maybe a long time.

Vah stood as still as possible, trying to force back the tears that were rolling down his cheeks, but when he tried to, more appeared and he started crying harder. He opened his mouth to say something, but he was either crying so much he couldn't say a thing, or he just couldn't pick up the courage to to do so. It was probably both. Instead of turning to look at Kiara, Vah simply lay down on the floor and buried his head into his forelegs; he was angry with himself, he was scared and he felt humiliated. He didn't deserve anything good and that meant he didn't deserve Kiara. She should be with someone better...

===========

Vitani let everything else in her mind disappear for the moment and made sure that she focused on nothing other than the Antelope she was chasing. She needed to make up for her carelessness a minute ago. If she had been just a bit more careful, they probably would have caught it by now; they wouldn't be wasting their energy trying to chase it down. Pushing all thoughts aside, Vitani forced herself to run to her limit. She was determined to get the kill. She wouldn't disappoint. It was her fault and she should be the one to make up for it.

Vitani slowly began catching up with the Antelope, following its weaving movements everywhere it went. How she was doing it, she didn't know, but it was probably due to the adrenaline rush that she got when she made the mistake. She glanced to her right quickly and noticed Fadhili running almost parallel to her. At the moment, though, she didn't care where anything other than Antelope was. The scenery rushed past her in a blur and she was soon sprinting right next to the terrified animal. Now Vitani only needed one final push to make the kill. Transferring all of her energy into her back legs, she leapt onto the back of the Antelope and dug her claws into its skin, preparing to make sure that she got the kill.

Kiara's ears flattened against her head as she stood next to Vah. She just couldn't bear see him cry. She found herself slowly laying down beside him and wrapping one of her forelegs around his shoulders reassuringly. She let out a sigh and put her head next to his, "Vah..." she had to somehow getting to stop crying, she just couldn't take being there if he was. "Please, look at me..." her voice was gentle so that Vah wouldn't accidently get a wrong impression. She nudged his heads upwards and out from between his forelegs with her nose so that she could look him in the eyes, "Look, whatever happened belongs to the past, there's no need to bother about it now..." she leaned over and gently licked his muzzle, "It wont do you any better if you blamed yourself over this. Whatever it is that happened to your pride wasn't your fault..."

========

Fadhili continued running after the antelope, but as fast as she ran, she didn't seem to be closing the gap. Her eyes suddenly settled on Vitani as her friend ran past her and arrived by the antelope. She knew that a determined lioness her friend was, but she had honestly never seen her this decisive before. Once Vitani leapt onto the antelope's back, Fadhili noticed that the antelope had a harder time running and that it was running slower. Taking the oppertunity, Fadhili finally caught up with the antelope and pounced at it's back. Her weight, combined with the pain Vitani was causing, was just enough to knock the antelope off it's feet. Before it could even try to stand back up, Fadhili hurried and dug her teeth into it's neck.

At first, Vah was reluctant to look at Kiara, despite what she had just told him. He didn't want her to see him like this; it was a long time since he had last cried and had an emotional breakdown. He had no idea that he would feel so bad about himself if he brought up the subject of his past. As soon as Kiara tried to comfort him, Vah felt a bit better, but he still couldn't bring himself to simply look at the lioness that he loved.

 As Kiara gently pushed Vah's head out from his forelegs, he just looked straight ahead at the dull, grey rock wall and yet again didn't bring up the courage to let  Kiara look at him. He could see her through his peripheral vision, though, so he guessed that she could at least see he had crying. Vah didn't react when she licked him on the muzzle, but inside it gave him a sense of security and her comforting words cleared his mind a bit. "I'm sorry...you-you shouldn't have to see me like this." Vah finally managed to say. A few seconds after he said this, he slowly turned his head and looked at Kiara, his eyes bloodshot from crying.

=========

Vitani gripped onto the back of the Antelope like there was no tomorrow. She couldn't let it slip now, not again. She wouldn't. Her sharp claws dug deeper into the back of the animal and she noticed it had slowed down enough for Fadhili to easily and quickly catch up to Vitani and the pained Antelope. She watched her friend leap onto the other side of the Antelope and it quickly tumbled to the ground. The animal had fallen onto Vitani, and, combined with the weight of Fadhili, she couldn't push it off from on top of her. She frantically tried to get her friend's attention, but she couldn't say anything as she was being suffocated, the weight slowly and painfully starting to crush her chest.

Kiara waited to Vah to look at her. It seemed like he was trying hard to hide the emotional breakdown he was going through, and Kiara wanted to make sure that he understood that he didn't have to hide such things from her. She was his mate and she loved him for who he was, she honestly didn't care that he was crying because everybody has such a moment at least once in their lives. "Vah, your crying is not going to change my opinion about you for the worse. I love you for who you are..." she said as she kindly nuzzled him, hoping to finally cheer him up, "You don't need to feel so limited around me. I'm here to support you because I care about you..." she hated see him cry, but it was more painful for her if he was making things harder for himself by also making a pointless effort in hiding it when he obviously didn't need to.

========

Fadhili dugs her teeth even deeper into the antelope's neck, eventually ending it's struggle and killing it. After catching her breath, she let out a long sigh before smiling and getting off of the antelope. She became confused when she couldn't see her friend anywhere, but at some point the noise caused by Vitani's squirming reached her ears and she noticed her friend trapped under the antelope. She hurried and pushed the antelope off her friend before shooting her an apologetic look, "Sorry 'Tani, didn't see you there..." she looked at the dead antelope and then smiled at her friend, "At least we got it right?"

Vah smiled at Kiara weakly and tried to get his spirits up by attempting to look on the bright side of things. Having Kiara next to him helped him massively and he was just glad to be around her in general. Without her, Vah would probably still be mad with himself and he wouldn't even know just how pointless it was beating himself up over it. "I know, it's just...I-i'm not used to feeling like this. Vah admitted to Kiara before copying her actions by nuzzling her. "Thank you." he whispered, still looking at Kiara, his smile a lot bigger than it was previously. Vah quickly wrapped both of his forelegs around her neck and hugged her, closing his eyes as he did so. "I love you so much..."

==========

Vitani was sure that she was about to pass out and she could even see the edges of her sight start to blacken, but just before she did, she felt the massive weight on her chest get pulled off of her by Fadhili. She immediately sucked in as much air as possible so that she didn't fall unconscious and then rolled onto her side, still breathing very deeply. She didn't actually answer her friend for a while because she didn't feel like she could muster the strength to do so. Eventually, though, she looked at Fadhili and smiled. "Yeah...at least we got it..." Vitani trailed off, feeling very tired and weak as her burst of adrenaline started to wear off. She simply lay there not moving, trying to get her strength back.

Kiara found herself smiling as soon as Vah smiled, relieved and happy that she had finally managed to cheer his mood up. The lioness's smile only got bigger and she purred loudly as Vah hugged her close. She found herself snuggling even closer to him, "I love you too..." she felt like she just couldn't control herself when she was this close to him, and she really liked that feeling. The lioness let out a happy sigh and closed her eyes, allowing herself to relax in their embrace.
======

Fadhili at first found Vitani's behaviour of not answering her wierd, but she figured that the antelope must have been rather heavy. She also remembered that she herself had also added some weight on top of that. But she didn't feel bad with herself like she usually would because Vitani appeared to be fine. "We'll carry it back once you regain some strength." she said with her usual smile, before stretching and lying down on her stomach so that she could also rest untill Vitani felt better.

Vah couldn't even begin to describe the feelings that were present inside him. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to be with Kiara; she had managed to calm him down and bring him around to seeing the truth. The truth was that the past is something that you can't change. You need to just focus on the present and move on with life. Vah made a promise to himself:nhe would never leave Kiara, no matter what happened. He would protect her with his life.

Suddenly, Vah felt himself tire immensely and his eyelids started drooping soon after due to exhaustion. The moment he had earlier really tired him out. "Damn...I fell really drained of energy now. I don't know about you, but I think I need some rest..." Vah managed to stifle a large yawn but his eyes closed a second after this and he fell straight to sleep, letting his whole body go limp. He held Kiara close to him.

==========

Vitani lay on her side for a little while longer before reluctantly rolling onto her front and pushing herself off of the floor. Nearly passing out really didn't feel good to Vitani and she hoped it never happened to her again. She wasn't going to act weak in front of her best friend, though, as she would be hearing about this day for her whole life. She glanced over to Fadhili and nodded before walking to the dead Antelope. "Come on, I'm fine" She told the lioness, ready to haul their kill back home.

Kiara gave Vah another smile right before he fell asleep. He could really use that rest in her opinion, not only because of the injury he had been inflicted, but also because of the emotional breakdown he had just gone through. Still purring, Kiara cuddled her head into Vah's mane and closed her eyes her well. She could also use some sleep. She slept a little bit after Vah found her, but she was still tired because that sleep wasn't enough to cover for the few days in which she had been running without a stop. Of course, she couldn't see it that way because she couldn't remember anything. All she knew was that she was tired.

========

Fadhili, to her confusion, found her friend getting to her feet a little sooner than the lioness had expected her to. Fadhili raised an eyebrow as it seemed like Vitani was making a really big effort, "Are you sure?" she said with a concerned expression as she too stood up, "I really don't mind if we waited a little bit more with this." she honestly had no problem with staying there and regaining some strength herself. It wasn't like the antelope was going anywhere.
