Vitani smiled when Kovu replied to her comment of them being a real family now, it brought a mile to her face, knowing that her brother felt just like that towards her. As the conversation turned for the sadder, which was mostly due to her, the severeness of Kovu's grief got to her as well. Upon the mention of Nuka and Zira, Vitani noticed tears running down Kovu's cheek as he told her how good it would have been for Nuka to get a second chance in the Pride Lands. ''Yes,mother wouldn't be able to live here with Simba, but Nuka... He could have...'' With that, she let out a few tears herself. As she closed her paw in on Kovu to wipe away his tears, he told him: ''Don't cry Kovu, you'll never be alone. Even if I'm gone... You'll still have Kiara'' With the mention of Kiara, she glared back towards the distance,in the sunset. Who knows if she'll ever get a mate herself... There was no one there for her, Kovu was all she had...

She moved in closer towards Kovu, just to feel that she wasn't alone. His warmness was enough to keep the coldness inside her from taking over. If she lost him, she'd be devastated, nothing could keep her cold heart warm anymore. ''Oh Kovu...'', she said as she leaned a bit at him, while still looking at the sunset with him. She couldn't find the words to say it to him, he was all that she had left in this life. ''You better not leave me alone here.'', she said with a small laughter, only trying to hide the sadness she felt with the thought of him gone.

______________________________

Simba turned around as Nala asked him of waking Kiara. Kiara was always sleeping a lot longer that the rest of them, it would be good for her to get used to waking up earlier. She was going to be a queen one day and with that, she had to be up before every other member of the pride. Well, almost every, excluding the king. He thought for a second and then confirmed her. ''Yes,it's been a long time since we had her join us in our morning walk.'' He smiled at Nala and they started walking back to the cave to wake their daughter up.

As they closed in on the cave,it seemed to Simba as if he heard someone crying from inside. He looked at Nala with a worried gaze and then continued walking towards the cave with a bit faster pace. He entered the cave and saw Kiara on the ground, crying her eyes out... He was quite shocked to see her so upset. She must have had a nightmare...,he thought to himself. He frowned as he went towards her. ''Kiara! Kiara what's wrong?'', he asked her as he came near her and lowered his head ,nuzzling her. ''It's ok,stop crying...''

Kovu smiled warmly at his sister, her words calming him. He put a paw up to his face, shocked that he'd been crying.

"Oh...uh, it's nothing," he said quickly, swiping the tears away. Crying was showing weakness. Crying was being emotional. Crying was not allowed...his eyes became hollow at the memory of his mother's teachings, but his sister's voice brought him back to reality.

"Vitani, I won't ever leave you. I promise," he said to her, looking into her crystal blue eyes and finding that he truly meant it. "You're my only family left...well, my only blood family. You're important to me..." he trailed off, suddenly feeling a bit awkward with himself. He wasn't used to expressing so much emotion all at once.

"Hey," he said suddenly, his voice sharp. His ears perked up and he began sniffing the air. "You smell that? I think there's a stranger near here somewhere..." He looked at his sister. "Should we get Simba?"

-----------------

"Ohh, Kiara...." Nala had followed her mate up to where her daughter slept, finding her crying and in her sad state. "It's all right, dear, I'm here...."

She all but shoved Simba out of the way, motherly instinct taking over. She lay by her daughter's side, cradling her head in her paws as if she were a cub again. It seemed such a short time ago that Kiara was just a tiny infant... Nala licked at Kiara's head and ears, murmuring soft words of comfort in between licks.

"What was it? What did you dream? It's not real, it's not real..." Nala looked up at Simba again, her aquamarine eyes concerned. She conveyed a message that only parents could...one of confusion, worry, and something that asked if there had been something wrong before the incident that was now happening.

(( Heyya Guys, sorry that i havent replied, but im back now, Hope you all had a good christmas :D ))

Everything was Black, her mind, her memories, she thought she was dead. The bone shattering impact should have killed her, and if not that, the drop to the earth bellow would have finished her off, should have finished her off, but it didn't. Somehow she managed to survive.

A soft moan and she began to stir, her body still human, abet the scratches and cuts she had sustained during her "flight". She slowly opened her eyes and saw nothing, the sun hidden above by the thick canopy of the jungle and deep undergrowth she was surrounded by.

A faint white aura encased Amy, and as her eyes adjusted to the low level lighting, she looked around, assessing the situation. She realised that she was stuck in the deep foliage and realised she had to get out and back to The Doctor and the TARDIS, grunting and snarling as she moved, she didn’t notice that her voice was still like a lions.

It took a while, but eventually she managed to see the TARDIS, and a lion walking around it. The Lion roared, it scared Amy, but she didn't run, something about this Lion seemed familiar, yet she had never even seen a lion in the wild, yet she didn’t run. Slowly she walked forwards, snapping a twig under her foot.

The lion turned, and she looked into his deep amber eyes, she knew who it was when he roared the second time, the roar was her name, and she understood it; like it was the only language she had ever spoken. She ran towards him seconds after he called, but something was wrong, the world began to shift around her.

She stopped and screamed, her clothes becoming tight as the spell started its work, and her body began shifting into a more leonine form. her hands and feet began turning into paws, strong and powerful claws grew from her nails, her bones cracked as they re-adjusted into the leonine shape, her face stretched into a muzzle, her jaw pained as her teeth grew and re-formed into large white canines, her body sprouted soft golden fur and a long golden tail sprouted from her back, a tuft of fur forming on it as it grew, as her tuft, muzzle and under belly turned a shade lighter, becoming like the desert sands, as whiskers grew on each side of her muzzle.

She meowed softly as the transformation stopped, her body now like a lioness. She opened her emerald green eyes and looked around, whimpering softly from the lingering pain, yet she managed a shaky smile as she looked back up at The Doctor, she was with him again, and everything would be alright. Apart from the strange noise lingering in the background. Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick. Four ticks, a second’s gap and it repeated... Doctor? Amy asked, laying still.

*** Kiara ***

For a few minutes, Kiara didn’t know what was happening, the last thing she remembered, and she was having a nightmare about Kovu and the lioness. The next she knew, someone, probably her mother, was licking her ears and mumbling words of comfort to her, she didn’t stop crying though, all she could do was cry.

After what seemed like an eternity, her mother’s words fully asserted them self in her head "What was it? What did you dream? It's not real, it's not real..." She pulled herself together and stopped crying slowly and carefully bringing herself into a sitting position beside her mother and father, tears stained across her face, a shaky smile asserting herself from her natural optimism.

Kiara sat close to her mother’s side, gently resting against her as she began answering questions. I-I'm sorry if I worried you... It was just a nightmare she said, weeping softly on her mother’s shoulder, as she gathered her composure again. It's been happening a lot recently, except... this time was worse[b] she buried her muzzle into her mother’s neck, knowing that she would have to explain about the dream.

[b]A new lioness comes to the pridelands... she's hurt and needs helping, we take her in and help her but something happens...
Kiara sighed, choking back the tears that were welling in her eyes Kovu takes a liking to her.... and he helps her more than the rest of us. a few days later, you two step down from being king and queen and Kovu and myself take over the pridelands.[b] The tears slowly roll down her cheeks.

[b]I walk in on Kovu and the new lioness, there acting like mates... kissing... romance and everything.
her voice wavers and starts crackling. I try to banish the new lioness, out of rage, then... then Kovu says that he loves the new lioness more... and he... he... She cries as she says the words Kovu banishes me... and then you two found me crying on the floor here

There was a sound - a single sound - and the Doctor whipped around to identify it. The snap of a twig usually meant that someone, or something, was approaching and he wasn't exactly in perfect shape for a fight right now. No pun intended... Oh, why did these things happen every time he went somewhere. Not that he didn’t love it, but if something happened to his companion… that was when adventures quickly lost their charm.

Something was definitely coming towards him through the jungle and he instinctively lowered himself to the ground in a battle stance, growling. Then he caught himself making the low sound and quickly stopped. That felt very, very strange, but, natural somehow. Must be a lion thing.

Then suddenly, there was a scream. And not just anybody’s scream – Amy’s! The Doctor gasped and, eyes wide, sprang towards the thick green foliage as fast as his still uncomfortable four legs could carry him. “AMY!” he roared, terrified to the bone, but he didn’t have to run far until he found her. Coming to a skidding halt, he arrived just in time to witness the final stage of her transformation. She, too, had turned into a lion like him. “Amy!” he shouted again, ran to her side and looked down at her, still extremely worried.

”Doctor?”

She didn’t move and it was obvious that she was in pain, but she was alive. “Oh, Amy…” The Doctor sighed of relief, but his voice was little more than a whisper when he said “I’m so sorry.” He lay down close to her, leaing towards her back to give her new body some support. A moment of silence passed, before he said “The TARDIS is dead. Shattered. Her power cells are gone. And I mean completely missing. It’s as if they were stolen…” The Doctor’s voice had changed from defeated to questioning as he spoke. “Somebody has done this on purpose. What do they want? What are they after? Do they want me? Do they want the TARDIS? If they’re after her, wouldn’t it have been easier to just throw the spell on me and stolen her instead? Why destroy her!? And why a spell, why use a spell? Spells are one of the oldest crafts in the universe, who still uses spells!?” he thought out loud, the tone getting increasingly louder this time. He did that a lot. The Doctor then for once thought to stop himself and paused, took a deep breath… “I don’t know what’s happened,” the Doctor then continued, turning to look into Amy’s eyes and placed one of his paws on top of hers “but I’m working it out, and I promise you, I’m gonna set it right.” He would’ve liked to give her a reassuring smile, but the severity of the current situation wouldn’t let him do that. The Time Lord’s voice was completely serious and he meant what he said, from the bottom of his two hearts. Actually, did he still have two? Yes, he must do… Aanyway, “We can’t stay here either way.” he carried on, not really waiting for a response. “Do you think you can you stand, Amy? We should get back to the TARDIS. Or, at least,” It pained him to say it. “what's left of her. I need to take a closer look at the damage...”

Nala stepped away from her daughter to allow her room to get up and breathe, and she listened to her story intently. Nala's eyes were creased with concern, but she remained quiet, exchanging worried glances with Simba every now and again. Having been Simba's mate since her younger years, she never really knew what it was to experience jealousy. Simba had never displayed interest in other females, as far as she'd seen, so she couldn't really empathize with what Kiara was saying...

"Dear...I'm really sorry that you had such a terrible dream. But please don't let it bother you so much that you strain your relationship with Kovu. It's not fair to him," the light-furred lioness said gently. "Kovu has never taken an interest in any other lioness except you. You love him, and I'm certain that he loves you back. I understand that we can sometimes fear what we think would be the absolute worst thing to happen, but... I know Kovu respects you more than that. And if it ever came down to it, I would stand up for you, and so would your father," the queen finished, looking at Simba with a worried, but loving look. "We'll always be here for you, even after we've left this Earth."

She slunk up to Kiara and nudged her cheek with her muzzle, purring softly and comfortingly. "We love you, Kiara."

(( I Know, I need to reply more ))

Amy flitted in and out of listening throught the doctors speach, she picked up on some words and her mind would easily wander before she told herself to focous again and think of what the doctor as saying. She heard the TARDIS was dead and that they were both under a spell, but there was one thing that always brought her back. His voice.

As he grew in determination, his voice grew louder and louder, but she grew more submissive and quieter as she grew back, her new, more sensative ears hurting from his loudness. However she didnt complain, she knew it would become a natural thing with time, but for now, he had to know; and he would have known then if he hadnt asked a question, whch she needed to answer.

“Do you think you can you stand, Amy? We should get back to the TARDIS. Or, at least, what's left of her. I need to take a closer look at the damage...” Amy smiled slightly, and slowly stagered onto her feet... paws, stumbeling about and resting against the Doctor. I think i can She said with a smile as she slowly walked towards the TARDIS, Oh, andd Doctor? can you try not to talk too loudly? she added with a flirtious flick of her tail.

*** Kiara ***

Kiara stopped crying, and listened intently to her mothers words of comfort, she knew that she was right and that it was un-fair to blame Kovu for something he hadn't done, and probabily wouldnt do, so why worry, hadn't her father... and Timon and Pumbaa told her aboout Hakuna Matata? She nuzzled her mother when she nuzzled her back.

Thank you, mum she whispered to Nala before turning and looking at her father, putting on a brave face, hoping to look strong like the ruler she was destined to be. What are we dooing this morning, Daddy? She asked, her tone as happy as normal, but a slight croak in her voice, showing that although she was trying to look strong, she was still upset

OOC: Alright, prepare yourself for a very long one =P To get the plot kind of going, to introduce the bad guys and for the Doctor and Amy to meet our Lion King cast. Since we seem to have lost Kubica (or never had him in the first place), I guess Cheetah People will just be general NPCs to be picked up by anyone (also, no, I haven't yet seen any episodes with the Cheetah People in them, so I'm just guessing at how they act D: ). And sorry Naki for kinda-sorta assuming that Amy will follow the Doctor’s lead ^^; I just felt we had to get the story going so that the two groups can meet soon-ish. Oh, and hey, we’ve been moved to the Advanced section. Cool :D

IC:
Carefully, they got up on their paws, and walked slowly back towards the TARDIS. The Doctor would very much have liked to run as fast as he could, but with Amy in this state, that was out of the question. She was leaning on him for support and she would probably fall if he tried to walk faster than her. The Time Lord’s mind was still buzzing with questions that he desperately wanted answered…

“Oh, and Doctor? Can you try not to talk too loudly?”

“Hm? What?” he responded automatically, without really thinking about what Amy had actually said. Then he realized the question and lowered his both head and his voice. “Oh, right. Sorry.” Of course, they had not only gotten the bodies and voices of lions, but all their other senses as well! It had taken up until now for the Doctor to realize it, but it was true – every sound was a little louder, every smell was a little stronger… and so many sounds and smells there were! He could feel everything beneath his fe-- paws too; the texture of the soft earth, every little pebble and root. The view felt different too. The Doctor looked up to see a few rays of golden light filtering through the thick jungle foliage in a way he had never seen before. For a moment, he was full of wonder. How different the world seemed when seen through the eyes of someone else. It was beautiful! He did not yet know that malicious eyes were watching them…

Back at the TARDIS, little had changed. Or, well, nothing had changed. The Doctor sighed and looked at the battered doors. “Well, here she is.” he said and carefully moved away from Amy, making sure she stayed upright before he ventured inside once more. The large brown lion then jumped into the pile of rubble and tried to work himself towards the bottom of the console, where the power cells were supposed to be. “So, without power in the power cells we can’t get anywhere.” he shouted from inside the pile and shifted a bundle of wires. “If we still had them” A large piece of wood was blocking the way and he scurried back up the pile to try and get inside from another angle. “we could charge them up. It wouldn’t be a problem.” That direction didn’t work either. The Doctor growled and tried a third way. This one worked. “But, like I said, we don’t actually have them.” He moved a few shattered pieces of metal with a claw and got a peek inside the TARDIS’ delicate construction. Normally there would be a hatch sealing this part, but it had been blown apart and somehow taken the power cells with it… “They’re gone.” He paused for a moment and sighed again, then pulled himself back together. Defeat was not an option. “So, all we need to do…” The Doctor climbed back out of the debris and jumped off the pile, landing smoothly in front of Amy. “…is find them. The thing is,” Suddenly the confidence seemed to drop from his voice, almost as if he was embarrassed. “I don’t know where to look. But, we’ll have to start somewhere.”

However, the cells were nowhere to be found anywhere inside the TARDIS. That was expected, so after extensive searches throughout the ship, they went back outside. “Where could they have gone… Think, think, think…” the Doctor mumbled to himself and paced back and forth in front of the blue box impatiently. “Maybe we--” He froze. There had been a rustle in the bushes. There was a creature there, a big one; he could feel it. “Amy, stay back…” he mumbled and took a step towards the sound, then another, staying low to the ground like a prowling… well, lion. “Who’s there?” he said, eyeing the green leaves to try and spot the creature. It could be anything – friend or foe.

“Yess…” a sly, hissing voice replied. “Who is here alright! Doctor Who!” It sounded all too familiar…

“Show yourself!”
the Time Lord roared.

“But why? A good hunter never reveals itself until it’s too late for its prey!” said the voice.

“Then it’s too late for you, isn’t it?” the Doctor growled and backed up towards Amy and the TARDIS. There was a pause. Then the voice spoke again.

“Well spotted, Doctor. Spotted! Eh, get it, Doctor? Spotted!”

“Oh, yes…” he growled, “Now show yourself!”

Out of the greenery stormed a large beast, one that the Doctor had indeed met before. It was about the same size as a human, it walked on two legs and wore simple clothing and jewellery. But it was covered in spotted fur instead of skin and had a face like a cheetah. “Cheetah People… Oh, I'm so thick!” “Look out, Amy!” the Doctor shouted and jumped to the side, avoiding a stab by the hunter’s spear. It pierced the spot where he had been standing a second earlier. “She belongs to the Cheetah People” he said to Amy, standing protectively in front of her “They’re humanoids who travel planets in search for prey… They’re cruel creatures who will kill anything for fun.” he continued, never taking his eyes off the cheetah, who was now circling them, sniggering. “It’s been quite a while now since I saw them… Last time” Now addressing the cheetah “your planet was decaying, wasn’t it?”

“Oh, yes,” the hunter replied “such good memory you have, Doctor. We were forced to leave our own planet in search of prey… Just to survive. But you would know all about losing your home, wouldn’t you, Time Lord? Hah, the last of the Time Lords! What a magnificent prey! The tribe will praise me when I bring home this catch!” She lunged forward once more, at incredible speed, and the two lions only just managed to escape the spear this time around too.

“Stop this!” the Doctor shouted, running around the glade, dodging attacks best he could. “Why are you here? It was you did this, wasn’t it!?” The poor small tree that happened to be behind the Doctor was shattered by the spear.

“It’s no use running, Doctor! I’ll get you in the end! And your pretty companion too!” The cheetah whipped around and suddenly headed for Amy, now with a dagger in her hand.

“No!” The Doctor leaped and, utilizing his newfound lion strength, tackled the hunter, who fell to the ground, hitting her head on a tree in the process. This gave the two lions a chance to catch their breath. But only for a moment. “I’m sorry, Amy, but it seems we’ll have to run! Come on! Go! Go!” So they charged off into the jungle, the Doctor hoping that, somehow, they would escape the cheetah…

The run on all fours was still clumsy and he stumbled many times, but there was just no time for falling! Overhanging branches and leaves whipped their faces as they sped past and the jungle seemed without end. Where was the cheetah? Was she close behind? He couldn’t hear anything, maybe she wasn’t… or maybe she was. Cheetah People were hunters of great skill. Surely it could both outrun and outwit them on its own territory, in its own form, and the Doctor couldn’t tell if there was any sound of other feet than their own charging through the forest due to the racket they were causing themselves. But the light seemed to get brighter up ahead – perhaps it was the end of the jungle?

It was. Before them was a vast, open savannah and in the distance was a huge rock formation of some sort. It was a pretty odd thing – one rock pointed straight up and another seemed to protrude from it, the second rock leaning on a third rock that kept it straight. That place could surely be worth a closer look. But first they had to make sure they were rid of the hunter… “Over here, Amy! Hide!” the Doctor whispered and lay down flat on his stomach in the tall yellow grass. Silence.

----------

Back in the clearing with the TARDIS, two other cheetahs had appeared, helping their battered friend to her feet. “When I get a hold of that Doctor, I’m gonna…!” she hissed.

“Well, you almost ruined everything! You know we need him.” a second cheetah interrupted “He might be our only chance of finding those power thingies.”

“Indeed.” said the third cheetah. “If someone hadn’t messed up the spell, we wouldn’t need to do this. We could already be done!”

The second cheetah snorted, but said nothing.

OOC: No, this was not the “Hakuna Matata jungle”; surely there must be another forest near Pride Rock… And yes, I'm cutting it off here, because it's just getting too long xP
