To his surprise, Sius had heard the entire conversation. Including Mufalfa's side of the story. On the one paw, if this really was Wafu's father, then he didn't want anything to do with either of them. Mufalfa had slashed his stomach, which was bleeding a bit more now as he was being slowly dragged across the African plain. And who's to say that Wafu wouldn't try to finish the job? Who's to say that this isn't all just some plot to accomplish... who knew what? On the other paw, what if Mufalfa had simply acted out of rational behavior. If he truly did love his son, then he would do anything he could to protect him from becoming a killer. To trust? Or to exile? It could not be one or the other. It was either neither or both. Though Sius' body had been injured, his mind still debated whether or not Mufalfa was a good lion misguided by trials of the past, or a bad lion deceived by lies of the past. It was becoming increasingly difficult to debate this topic. And at the rate the group was going, they wouldn't be able to make a decision for themselves. But Sius had confidence in himself. He was the only one who could decide Mufalfa's fate.
"E-Eeve... wait..." Sius softly muttered, surprising even himself. He seemed to come back to for a moment or two. However, his wound was becoming exceedingly painful to bare. But something propelled him to continue to talk. "Zera... do not kill him." He called out as loud as he could muster. As difficult as it was, Sius simply had to defend Mufalfa. Why? He wasn't entirely sure. Perhaps it was Mufasa? Whatever it was, Sius felt compelled to spare his life. Thinking over what they had previously talked about, Sius called out "Mufalfa doesn't want any friends. And I promise I won't lose any sleep over his choice." He gave another smug smirk to Mufalfa, as if he had learned nothing from his little encounter with Mufalfa's claws. "However, there will be no more bloodshed." Sius was as confused as the others in the group. "You are not welcome in my den Mufalfa... however, you may live outside in the harsh Africa sun if you wish to be with your son." It seemed a fair decision, as Mufalfa didn't seem to want to do more killing. He simply wanted to find his son, which he had.
"For now, You have earned a bit of my trust... do not throw it away. As for the rest of you, if you do not agree with my decision, speak now." Sius hoped that nobody would say anything, though he couldn't jump to a conclusion with the group. Eeve, who was saving Sius, might have thought him either kind or brainless. Perhaps a bit too kind for his own good? Zera might be the one, if any, to disagree. He hoped that she would see it his way. Taro wanted to fight as far as Sius could tell... He could only hope that his words had broken through Taro's anger. And Syira seemed to have held her tongue as of late. Perhaps this was a sign of trust to the others in the group... even Sius. It was ultimately up to the group to decide Mufalfa's fate. And as Sius drifted back into his death-bordering sleep, he mustered all his strength to say "And by the way Mufalfa, strength is not being able to kill anyone who stands in your way... strength is having the courage to stand up for your friends... no matter the cost on yourself."
