Hi Simba66 and YFWE, thanks for the welcome.
Point Roberts is sort of a weird place. I think of it like a gated community, that is protected by the Department of Homeland Security. It is sort of interesting because Canada won't allow U.S. people with a criminal record in and the U.S. won't allow Canadians in with a bad record. It makes for almost non-existent crime. The fact that you have to cross two borders to get to the mainland of the U.S.A. from here makes border crossing a frequent affair for us. The local school only goes up to the 3rd Grade, so students from here are bussed through Canada to Blaine, WA. and back again through Canada after school.
Map of where Point Roberts, WA is:

There is not a lot here. Only a few hundred people live here full time. A grocery store, several gas stations (cause gas is cheaper here then in Canada) and several mail places where Canadians can get all their eBay crap shipped from sellers who won't ship outside of the U.S. I really like it here, but it takes a certain kind of person to live here, and someone who doesn't mind dealing with borders frequently. Which I can tell you can be a real pain sometimes. I usually go shopping for groceries and stuff in Bellingham, WA with my wife and we have to constantly keep up with the rules of what you can both take through Canada and what you can and can't bring back into the U.S. For example firewood is a nono, you can't bring U.S. firewood through Canada, and you can't bring Canadian firewood into the U.S. but if it is dimension lumber, that is no problem, provided there isn't a tiny spot of rot on any of the wood, if there is then they go apeshit at the border.
PS. If anyone is interested in seeing some of my TLK collection, I have photos of some of it here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/puma2/ I have been collecting Lion King stuff for a long time. I have loved the movie since it came out.
