Bonus Chapter - Welcome Home
The three of them stood for a while glaring into the distance. Nothing was said, nothing was done. They all knew that chasing him would be pointless, that even if Kivuli was brought back. He might just run off again first chance. They had to accept the fact he was gone, now alone to face the wild. Time seemed to roll by slowly, neither of the trio having the urge to leave, they were all there for a reason. Kokota as a brother, Zizi his fancy and Simba his king, now wishing to seek forgiveness. All of them thought about everything that happened and all thought the same thing. That Kivuli would return and come home safe and sound
Kokota was finally the first to move up out the spot I should go. Thanks for at least letting me stay here Simba, I do appreciate it. He began to wander off, heading back to the Outlands. Simba looked at Zizi, who gave him a stern look back straight in the eyes. She didn't have to say anything, Simba knew what she was thinking Kokota wait Simba called as he stood to meet the teen lion I know what I did was too harsh, I was lost in rage at the time. I am truly sorry for what I have done, and I want you to come home, back to Priderock Kokota's face lit up with shock. He could go home, a dream he had had since exile. He accepted straight away and the three of them headed back
Simba lead the way with Kokota and Zizi behind, she talking about last night It was just amazing to see him again. And to be held like that... it just leaves me speechless. Then we just talked for hours about what has happened since you both left. What we have experienced. I was a little shocked to find that he used to stare over at Priderock every day, cause I stared over at the Outlands. Then he told me how he would sneak off to grab a kill at night, that just made me laugh. The we just talked bout the old days when the four of us played together and we didn't have a care in the world The conversation continued on. Zizi sharing her thoughts with Kokota and Kokota return the favour. They stopped when they reached the foot of piderock
Kokota stood stiff. This was it, he was home. All his friends, he had missed so much just steps away, yet without his brother it still felt a little empty. His chain of thought was broken when he heard yelling OH MY GOD! KOKOTA ITS YOU!!!!!!! It was Ashur, charging down the slopes of Priderock before pouncing and giving Kokota a big hug God I've missed you so much Kokota heaved Ashur off, having trouble breathing Good to see you too Ashur was near bouncing around, and asked about Kivuli and why Kokota was back. Kokota and Zizi explained everything that happened, and Ashur's face grew dim He's really gone? Kokota responded with a slow nod
The trio embraced each other, and started head up to the main den. As they entered two more faces appeared, Sarabi and Nala. Sarabi went to Kokota and Nala to Zizi and in turn hugged them as their own children Kokota it is so good to see you alive and well Sarabi said in a warm tone Simba just told us what happened Added Nala If you need anything just ask us ok? But for now welcome home, we missed you
Kokota let out a weak smile and started head off, up one of the slopes of pride rock to the top. As ever Ashur and Zizi quickly followed him. Once at the top they faced west, the direction Kivuli had ran. For hours they sat, staring, hoping, praying. Evening was setting in. Like the morning of that day the sky began to change. The sun setting in Kivuli's direction, taking all of its radiant colours and revealed the blanket of stars to the east which began covering the sky. Eventually Simba joined them. Followed by Nala, Sarabi, and even Sarafina.
Each one of these lions and lionesses had a major influence on Kivuli. They all wished to pay respect. Kokota was the one who started. Letting out a loud roar which echoed over the lands. Everyone joined in, for a rush of three loud roars in honor of their lost friend. The elder lions left without saying a word. Ashur also moved away leaving Zizi and Kokota to stare into the distance. They were not leaving that spot. Not any time soon
