Simba

Hmm... Sorry, I guess I really wasn't paying attention to the person who allegedly betrayed my trust. Sorry, I was a little preoccupied with razor sharp teeth and claws in my body.

Look, as much as I want to change your opinion of SP Simba, I can't. Just as you can't change mine. So we can easily agree on this statement:
Simba is a good king, and an overprotective father. He cares for his family so much that he won't let anything like Scar happen to them. Especially not to Kiara. Naturally, he wouldn't trust Kovu, and he does make a few hasty decisions. However, What it comes down to, is Simba is only trying to protect his family from someone who he doesn't trust. His trial for Kovu is unfair, and he completely contradicts himself with songs. This has it's good perspective (the way I see it) and the bad perspective (the way you see it) but the point is, Simba can lean either way in this movie.

Is that good enough for you? :|

No

Simba is Rushed, he is completely out of character in the latter part of the movie, and although we see the good in the start, he becomes a ghost if the former king.

And also, It was a roar/shout, Simba would have heard it, even if it was subconscious.

He's not out of character as far as you know. He's the new king, that means new responsibilities. It also means a new enemy. We saw Simba in the Lion King as a happy, carefree, kinda lion. In SP, he's a king. the context of his character has changed due to his new responsibilities. But in fact, he becomes a better king in the end of SP.

Also, if your being brutally mauled, your not gonna pay attention to what someone else is screaming.

I love how Simba's all like I don't murder cause I'm not like you, Scar. Then 2 seconds later he doesn't hesitate at all at throwing over a cliff.

@Simba66 Even with new responsibilities, your personality would need to be completely re-written, as we don't see any playful side to Simba in SP,apart from all of one minute at the start of 'We are One'

Your subconscious will hear everything and analyses it, then influence the way we think

There's relatively no playful side to Simba due to the seriousness of SP. Compared to the Lion King, in which the story doesn't reveal itself fully until Mufasa's death, SP's story is truely revealed as soon as Zira introduces Kovu to Simba. At that point, playfulness isn't going to keep his pride safe. Simba has to rely much more on his lion instinct and kingly wisdom.

Acknowledged and understood. But in Simba's mind, Kovu had just proven himself a great actor. Who's to say that Simba didn't think he was simply acting to be worried to Simba's life?

Well, it really isn't that long of a time period between cub and young adult lion. But I still see where you're comin' from. The point is, like with all subjects, there's always going to be two or more camps. and they will disagree. I love Simba regardless of which movie he's in. But I do understand why people don't like him that much in SP.

God please let the argument be over. XD

Im sticking by my guns, and many people will agree with me, Simba was worse in SP than he was in TLK. I like Simba, but not in SP

I understand why you're sticking to your guns, as long as you understand why I'm sticking to mine.
