[PRIVATE] Taming the Lioness's Heart

Re: [PRIVATE] Taming the Lioness's Heart

Postby Nakisisa » May 26th, 2010, 5:05 pm

Nakisisa was not unusual, but he was a pridelander, and a rouge. The king had allowed him to come and go as he pleased, today he was in the pridelands, sitting on the summit of pride rock, watching over the lands, allowing the sun to warm his black fur, he was watching a group of lionesses, whom at present he had no attraction to, although they were all pretty in their own way. Nakisisa decided he needed a drink and started to walk down towards the waterhole, walking past the group of lionesses, giving them a small curt nod, with a smile on his face, as he passed them. when he arrived one of the lionesses had ran off towards the outlands, Naki took a quick drink and followed them, staying in sight behind the lioness, but holding back, he didn't want to be imposing while he still smelled like a rouge

Slowly and quietly trudging through the mud, Grunge smelt a lioness who was not an outlander. He knew that they would be killed for trespassing and, having a good heart deep inside, followed the scent until he found Adeola. Pssst! he said in a harsh whisper, over here! as he poked her behind with his muddy paw. Are you crazy? You'll be killed for trespassing in the Outlands!

@ VitanisMate: Adeola came back from her little hunt to check up on the little cub that had wondered into the Pridelands. She let her tail drag along the floor as she thought about what her other siblings and parents would think if they thought it was her cub. Perish the thought her mother would start balling her eyes out at how happy she was that her eldest daughter had finally found a mate. But of course, if she said she didn't and didn't explain that it wasn't her cub, her father would probably go around maiming the entire male population to find out whom impregnated his daughter without the proper commitment to her.

She walked into the den once more, and landed her eyes on a blank nest where she had layed Mzuri. She walked over and saw no trace of her, making her curse under her breath. "Stupid kids" she grumbled. The lioness darted out of the den and tried to make her way around the Pridelands and around the den as to find the little girl who had either been kidnapped, or ran away.

When she finally saw a tiny figure in pain, she had to have known it was Mzuri. She sighed out. Her feet walked forward and she came up behind the cub, "Mzuri, what are you doing?". Her eyes were confused and she had no sign of anger in her voice towards the cub. She was just happy the little kid was alright. Wait...why would she care? She hated kids. Mzuri was a kid, after all. She twitched her ears and sat down looking at the child, "you could have been hurt while I wasn't watching you. Never go anywhere without telling me next time, alright?" She drew her head to the child and nudged her with her dark magenta nose.
---------------------------------------------

Adeola drew her head to look over to see a male, and instantly pulled the cub between her front legs and glared up at him. At his request to join the pride, she let her claws come out to play. "That is not for me to decide. You would have to ask the permission of Leader Tendai". She practically had that line rehearsed in her head from when her father gave her the lecture of letting males into the pride because they asked her. Her father knew too well that males asked either to get something out of the pride, or to get too close for comfort to his daughters. Most of the time, they were after the eldest daughter, Adeola.

Something wasn't right about this male. His eyes were too...insincere. His voice was planned out. His aura was disturbing her, and she didn't want the cub to be near a lion as shady as him.

When he let out the remark towards the little child, she instantly let out a loud growl. Why was he so against the child? A child is a child, and children play. It was part of a healthy development. If he thought he was going to be in the pride now, he had another thing coming. But when she was about to open her mouth to reject him, the words of her father rang through her head: "A good leader does not judge, but accepts as time passes by". Stupid conscience. "We'll see" she left her last words with him, when she got to her fours and started to walk with the cub in the middle of her legs once more, still walking with her and close. If she didn't trust this guy, then there was no point in letting the kid run freely. And if he dared to try harm her or the pride, he had another thing coming. They walked to the den, where no doubt the family would be settling down after the afternoon hunt.

@ Nakisisa: Adeola's temper started to rage when she proceeded to pass the boundary line for the Outlands and she knew she was going to be in deep trouble if she didn't get her and her sister's butt out of there. Scratch that, Adeola's butt would be the one in deep trouble--- Malaika was already in deep trouble.

The trees were brittle and dry, the grass was burnt or there was none at all, there was no sign of living food from where she was, and the water was as brown as her mother's pelt. It scared her to the bone to be here, but her sister was more important to her and she was sure that if she went back without her sister in paw, she wouldn't be hearing the end of it from her father. Or mother, for that matter.

"Malaika!" She tried to hush her voice as best she could because she knew that if she was spotted, she would be sticking out like a sore thumb and she would be attacked by the soulless beings that lived here...if there were any. Out of the blue, her head jerked over to hear a scream that sounded like...Malaika! She darted over to where it came from to see a large group of lionesses circling her and she was already in pain from a scratch to her throat. "Malaika!". Adeola ran down and stood over her sister, glaring and growling at the females who were looking at her sister like she was an appetizer, and Adeola was the main course.

"Two meals in one killing" one laughed. Malaika was shivering in fear against her sister's leg, and inside Adeola was crying in fear, but she dared not to let it show or else she knew they would have the upper hand and know it. "Get 'er!"

It didn't even take a milisecond before they launched at the sisters. Adeola had the upper hand though, as she pushed Malaika out of the attack. "Get out of here!" She cried out to her little sister, as she started to paw her way away from the group but they were too tough and hungry to let her go. Every time she thought she was able to get out, they pulled her right back in by the tail and kept on beating her. And they intended to do it until she was dead and they could feast on her.

@SnowyCheetah: The sand colored lioness sighed out, as she looked around for her little sister some more. "Malaika..." she growled, staring off into the dark abyss of this forbidden land.

When she heard a whisper towards her, she pulled her eyes from the haunting gray lands ahead to look at the creator of the noise. "I'm more worried for the safety of my sister's life than my own" she answered in a cold, quick voice. She had no intention of fighting the male physically or verbally, as she sped off away from him to find her sister.

She hadn't taken notice to the presences around her as she looked around, jotting her eyes from barely any landmarks at all to see where the bright colored female stuck out. She couldn't be too hard to find, seeing as how everything here was cold and she was so warm; personality and coat color. But Malaika was the master of hide and seek, so she knew she had a long road of stalking and hiding ahead of her. She trudged on, keeping her paws away from anything that would make a sound loud enough to be heard by hunger-stricken beasts of the Outlands.

@SilverSimba01: The kid had a point. A cub wouldn't have any fun if it were just lounging around and waiting for something to happen. And she was sure the kid didn't get any thrill of talking about boys with the other lions at her age. "You'll appreciate it when you're older" she replied with a faint smile.

She turned her body around and raised her butt in the air, chest lowered to the ground. "So come get me". She waved her rear in the air and whipped her tail around. Before the cub could make a move, she dashed forwards so she would have someone chasing her.

"Why can this never happen to an outsider?" he mused aloud as he ran into the melé, roaring loudly he began to approach the group, "If you want her you'll have to go through me" he shouted, jumping over one of the attackers and to Adeola's side, "Come on ya scavangers" he growled "Pick on someone who will give you a challange" he roared, Turing to the lioness he thought was the leader, he pounced and attacked her, not needing to couch he had the advantage as he pounced. He quickly and mercilessly pinned the lioness to the ground, and with a swift blow to the neck, killed her. He then proceded to jump back to Adeola's side, growling and turning around to protect the lioness and the cub, "Are you alrigt" he spoke quietly through barred teeth, to the lioness he was protecting.

@Nakisisa: Adeola struggled to her fours, and shook her head, looking up at her 'savior'. She looked away from him, and walked past, "thanks". She headed back for her den, as she knew that her sister would be there already. Adeola didn't know if she would tell their parents or not, but she was praying that her father would not come to her aid.

'A real challenge' she had heard the male phrase. What was that supposed to say about her character? That because she was a girl, she was not allowed to be threatening? Or that she was just assumed to be cuddly, and sweet all the time and do everything others told her? As she paced forward, she shook her head of the thoughts and ignored the male behind her.

"Adeola!" A voice roared, her head drooping down with a sigh. Malaika got Tendai involved...

She turned her head to see a gold lion with a dark brown mane and angry green eyes come speeding to her aid, staring the male down. "Father---"

She was cut off by Tendai letting out a shaking roar, and he growled over at the dark male in front of him. "What did he do to you?"

"Nothing!". But her words weren't speaking well for her, as she saw her father glaring at the male in front of him and he was not looking like he was backing down any time soon. Though Adeola and her father, Tendai shared similar color pelts, she knew she was nothing like her father in most cases.

"Adeola!" Another voice called out, as she looked to see the rest of her family speed down to her rescue. It wasn't she whom Tendai was looking at killing, they should have been more worried about the male in front. Beside her, came her large, dark, adoptive younger brother, Neobi. Beside her father was Afolabi, her creamy younger brother, Malaika, and her dark mother, Zuri. Neobi rubbed his head on his sister's at seeing the wounds and started to lick some that were bleeding.

"He did this!" Malaika sneered, getting in the same position that her father was in, ready for the attack.

"No!" The eldest sister said, getting back in front of the male, "he didn't attack me at all". Her words soothed her father and sister, as they withdrew their fangs and claws, getting back to their normal standing positions. Afolabi and Neobi eyed the male.

"If you will excuse me, I have some sunbathing to catch up on" he said walking towards the den and the group of lions that blocked his way, as he passed Adeola he spoke again, "No, Thank You" he said nodding his head slightly, "And if you need any help, I'll be around" he said as he continued walking. As he approached the lions again he repeated himself "Excuse me, I have a sun to bath in" he said catching a glint, becoming a full on stare in Adeolas fathers eyes.
