Mother of god, this is some seriously difficult homework. Okay, so first I have to find the velocity to determine the head loss through the pipes, but in order to do that, I need to know the volume flow rate. But in order to do that, I need to know the pumps operating conditions.... but in order to know those, I need to know what the volume flow rate is. This isn't even to mention that all these head losses change based on the flow conditions, so it's kind of like I have to assume some things before I can even begin an iterative process to solve all this crap simultaneously. This also means I have to turn back to 3, 4 or maybe even 5 chapters ago to look up some of those friction equations...

And I'm supposed to do this before Friday at 11:59pm? LOL, not a chance.

^ Haha, I love my niece, she's such a character! :D

Wow, writing this screenplay is making me nostalgic and emotional.

Oh lord I know this way, way too well. I'll spoiler it since it's tmi, but since I consider a lot of people on MLK to be pretty good friends of mine, y'all should know the hell I go through each month:
Spoiler: show
I get insanely heavy bleeding. Pads that say "lasts 8 hours"? They last roughly 2 for me. I hate tampons, but I get to the point that I'll use one, because the threat of leaks is usually that bad. To make matters worse, my periods usually last 7-9 days. And, because the chemo pills I'm on screw with hormones, I've started getting multiple periods within a 30-day cycle. Thankfully doesn't happen every cycle, but still.

The fun part about all of this? I tried birth control earlier this year for reasons that should now be obvious. The first night, I felt pretty nauseous, chalked it up to maybe being really tired or having eaten something my stomach didn't like. Second night I took them, really bad nausea hit me again, accompanied by headache, to the point where I had to go lay down and felt drained the entire rest of my day. So I can't even do birth control =/

As for what I was thinking about that I had originally intended to post here:
I am baffled and disappointed by Alolan forms. Now, that doesn't mean I dislike them; quite the contrary, I love taking Pokemon and redesigning them as a new type. It's something I've been a fan of for years. But what is baffling and disappointing, are the choices made in regards to them. Only 18 Pokemon got Alolan forms, which reduces to 10 when you take out pre-evolutions. Only generation 1 Pokemon got Alolan forms. I mean, how cool would it have been to have seen an Alolan Ampharos or an Alolan Excadrill? Even within the confines of gen 1, though, I don't understand why they didn't do more. Obviously they wanted to bank on nostalgia, so why no love for Lapras or Growlithe + Arcanine? Koffing and Weezing to go along with Grimer and Muk? It just feels so underdone, and it honestly feels strange that the game went out of its way to paint Fearow as a big deal with the ones that swoop down on you, but it, too, doesn't get an Alolan form.

There's also the fact that none of the Alolan forms got increased base stat totals. Golem and Exeggutor are the only ones who weren't in need of such a thing, but the rest have been underwhelming Pokemon since gen 1. This was a chance to rectify that, but while the new forms did get their stats rearranged slightly, that only helps so much. And in the case of Raticate, they took away from its decent Attack and Speed, making it worse. I have no idea why they wouldn't buff these Pokemon, especially when that was so often the goal of last gen's mega evolutions.

Damn! After all the legends we've already lost this year, Andrew Sachs (Manuel from classic British sitcom Fawlty Towers) has passed away.

Spoiler: show
Yeah, I can't really do birth control either. When I was on it and got off of it, it ****ed with me so bad that I don't want to even consider going back on it, it was that awful. (Like legit it was to the point where my dad actually asked if I was pregnant, I was getting nauseous every day for about a month and apparently my mom did the same before she had kids).

Can't say I have multiple in 30 days. That sounds like hell. But they're usually irregular and painful and I get really pissy and not really fun to be around, and I've had ones with really bad bleeding before as well. It's something that runs in the family and it's another reason why I never want to get pregnant since my mom and my mom's mom both had severe issues with that also. My mom's mom apparently almost bled to death, actually.

To be honest, it kind of affects my day to day life so I kind of want to see a doctor about it. About six months ago I started a full time job and then went part time in the fall and in that amount of time I've emailed and had someone cover me for being sick twice. Thing is, I actually wasn't "sick" either time, it was more like "I'm in bed not wanting to move because my period started, but I don't want to really say that, so... sick it is". I've also missed classes because of it. Moreso than I have for actually being sick. So that really frustrates me, especially since (as I said) I have no desire to ever be pregnant. Having kids? Maybe. But no pregnancy for me. Based off that one experience I had with the birth control, it would be nine months of hell for me, and also likely dangerous.

Welp I woke up from a nap. Time to eat more of that soup I made the other day, I think.
