New episode 'Lions of the outlands'?
Well, this conversation has gone places. For the record, I'm in agreement that Nuka's resentment towards Scar in that "Scar wasn't even [Kovu's] father" line has plenty of in-character weight behind it without Nuka actually being related to Scar. He was just overlooked even though he felt he was qualified because he was the oldest, etc. Also, if we're really going to get into this with deleted scenes, let's remember then that Nala had left the Pridelands as a result of Scar making moves on her because he had no queen (no Zira, so they weren't close at that point) or "little Scars", and only a few days later does she return with Simba.

I think we're all missing the important part here: Vitani and Fuli are going to fight!
Yeah I think the whole parentage debate overtook the thread. I think this looks like an intriguing episode that could be a game changer. Fuli and Vitani fighting should be very cool I wonder how they will portray Vitani will she be the more like the snarky cub from my lullaby or more in line with the obedient soldier she became. However I am most intrigued with the conversation between Kion and Zira she seems to be trying to explain scar from a different perspective likely to show Kion he and Scar were similar in their beliefs and that Scar was misunderstood.

The truth is Kion is a very good example of just how a Guard could be more suited to rule. Kion is a better leader than Kiara he is less naive and understands his kingdom better to such an extent he has had to save Kiara repeatedly many times from her own mistakes. Kion is better suited to rule in theory, all Zira has to do is plant this thought. Kion is driven to defend others as well as his home all Zira has to do is paint an image of his family especially Kiara being incompetent that they cannot keep the pride lands safe and stable, that the kingdom is legitimately better off in his paws, which won't be all that difficult since so far the pride lands are better off under Kion's rule.
^XD INDEED. But any who.....I hope they explain Zira's And Scar's relationship so we can see who is right! I don't really care whether she was his mate or not....(I rather it be the first choice) I'm just really hoping for answering unanswered questions, like debacle about Zira. X3 And of course Kovu! Who doesn't love him? XD
Agreed! :D About Fuli and Vitani being in a fight, maybe Vitani has fallen for Kion or Kion has fallen for her so, Fuli suddenly gets jealous. But she then realises that she can't be with Kion since she is a different species. XD :D :?
Sure, that's one plausible theory. Also, yes the fight will be awesome (even if brief)
In my opinion, the animation is too bad for an "awesome" fight, lest they put in some actual effort and had them bite and snatch after each other with their paws or pounce or - I don't know, roll along the ground. No lame head-butts from Jasiri that throws animals at her own weight class (coming down upon her after jumping into the air while attacking). Kind of when Kion leap forward and punched Janja with his front paw. THAT looked awesome. Hope they do something like that.

I had hoped that it would be Vitani that sparked Kion's romantic interest. I hope that this episode would give us some kind of possible hint, that a Kion/Vitani relationship could be a possibility in the future. (I should also point out that I do not believe that Vitani is Scar's daughter.)

As for what spurs Fuli into fighting Vitani: I would not be surprised if it did have something to do with Kion...Jealousy...Well maybe. However it is more likely just Fuli's protective nature. She was ready to take on Jasiri when she thought that she was a threat to Kion.

I agree. Actually, I had hopped that any romance is something we will see more to after a decently paced build-up, and hopefully the little lioness and that little hyena fought over something as mundane as territory or food. Or perhaps Jasiri overheard them talk about Kion, got worried because she consider him a friend and confronted Vitani when she was alone, which DOESN'T have to do with the tedious and over-used cliche known as 'love at first sight' between individuals that realistically would consider each other enemies. (Individuals, as in Kion and Vitani if that is where Disney is going... At least initially unfriendly...)

This idea of mine is not likely but I actually wouldn't mind if Vitani and Kion did become a thing basically have an episode where both are stuck in a life or death scenario and have to work together this pushes them closer than mid season you find out Vitani is actually manipulating him she arranged the situation specifically to create a scenario that would exploit all of Kion's flaws his belief in the equality of species, his chronic hero syndrome and need to protect people. Vitani pretty much recreates the same scenario as when he met Jasiri which she found out through Janga and the others she then uses that moment to manipulate him into sympathizing with the outsiders through her, exploiting his flaws to plant herself in his mind and therefore push him towards her.

Naturally this could easily be a plan of Zira's placing Kion in a scenario that could mirror how she explains Scar's further pushing him to question his morals. I think this could be an intriguing idea for the second season.

It would certainly be interesting if Vitani becomes to Kion kind of what Kovu becomes to Kiara at the behest of Zira. I'm definitely getting the vibe that she's going to try and turn Kion against his family/friends over the course of the rest of the series, knowing that if he uses the roar with malicious intent he'll lose the power. It could go a couple different ways, depending on if she ever finds out that he's Simba's son. So many interesting possibilities...

That's what I was thinking too so many intriguing places they could go with this story. However I think Zira already knows who Kion is as I don't really see how she wouldn't since she knew who Kiara was instantly. Also she knew scar had the roar and likely knows the rules that the second child gets the roar. I would be surprised if Zira didn't already know Kion was Simba's son. Knowing he was would only make turning him against his family all the sweeter. That's how I think the show will handle Zira they'll tone down her more brutal and blood thirsty aspects in favor of making her more persuasive and manipulative.

These are all very interesting theories/possibilities! It would be cool to if it is revealed that Vitani is Scar's daughter because I like how she smiles and how even she tries to act in the TLK2 film. :)

Inheriting a throne depends on the seniority not talents. If Kion wants to be a King he will be able to leave and start his own pride. And you can't say thst Kion is better as a ruler because we don't see what Kiara do every day. You can't compare them.
