I've worked in my food retail job for a while now, I still work there and just do a few evenings a week but I mostly get involved in the local community projects and fundraisers stuff really. But last night I was on the till and I was serving customers and just chatting away to people. And I got to this one woman and was asking her how her day had been and what she did for work etc. Anyway the scanner at the till sometimes glitches out and you have to rescan something so I asked her "Can I rescan your mellon?" And then continued on with "Wow that question never gets any less awkward, you'd think after a few years here I'd have matured out of it by now." She laughed her ass off and before she left she said thank you for the laughs, she had a pretty crap day and I had cheered her up.

I don't know, in a job where you have to deal with plenty of self entitled and stuck up people it's nice when you actually take away a positive story from that job. See Kops, Sh, FAS... And whoever else I was talking to about retail work. It's not always terrible, you can sometimes get some nice positive stories from it as well. The idea is to focus on those ones and remember them rather than the crappy ones.
I always say that despite the store policy it's best to just be yourself, if you're not a horrible person then you should be fine :D

Ok, just need to get through these next the shifts and get to 11pm Sunday, then I'm free for a week and get to escape from the general public.

I just learned a great strategy to level up in Pokémon Go. I'm going to activate my lucky egg, then evolve all my Pidgey, Spearow, Rattata, Caterpie, Weedle, and Golbat. That alone should give me ~22,000 XP in a matter of minutes, which will take me up about two and a half trainer levels.

I can't believe it's been nearly four years here.

Like honestly, in some ways I was basically a different person back when I joined in 2012.

Remembering's dangerous. I find the past such a worrying, anxious place. "The Past Tense," I suppose you'd call it.

Yep so my friend got me a copy of The Killing Joke movie something that I didn't even remembe they were making and it was good. Hearing Mark Hamil actually give a voice to the Joker in one of the character's greatest storylines that actually gives an insight into his character was awesome.

Yep don't mind me just fanboying about Batman for a little bit :)
