I can't blame you. From what I hear Scotland was promised continued EU membership if they stayed, and if that's true they've basically been stabbed in the back after the Scottish referendum.

It was inevitable. We were always going to be lied to. No voters were totally misguided. You can only blame a twisted thought process to an extent--the fearmongering from England was unbearable and contributed a huge amount to No voters reasoning. But mark my words, Scottish people are not stupid. If we get another referendum we'll be getting the hell out of here.

I've never seen such a large amount of lies in such a short amount of time, though. Jesus christ this period seems to have been toxic throughout the entire political process. Heard claims NI wants an Irish reunification and there's a call for another Scottish referendum, wondering if it's just shock reactions or if they'll actually push these claims... wondering what the outcome will be if they do.

Certainly seeing the other side of alot of people today Though im neutral on the whole thing, painting all who voted 'out' as racist is very harsh. Two members of my family voted out and neither are racist at all. I know some people are angry, but THINK before you lash out.

However, unfortunately, there was an undeniable trend between Leave voters and xenophobia. Still, its unfair to demonise those who have genuine concerns over immigration, even if some of those concerns are misinformed.

I'm just sitting here amused because I personally support a Grexit (so I understand some of the Leave points) yet don't really see the point of a Brexit. I just don't see what the huge problem with the EU in Britain is that it needs to leave right now.

Yeah I don't think 52% of the voting public of the UK are racist / xenophobic, that would be awful. People are just very upset and emotional today.

There is also a lot of England bashing by people today, forgetting that a lot of us voted Remain. It's unfair to demonise a whole nation when a large chunk of us voted against this.

The pro Brexit MPs have many other social and economic arguments-but they decided to use immigration as they knew that a very quick shock tactic was needed to persuade people to change the status qou, because people are generally weary of doing that.
