11th of July?! Well, that's a later starter date than what I was expecting

Goes into the summer, too, but hey... welcome to being an adult.

Ok, I think I've dragged it out long enough. Guess I should call the estate agents back with my verdict :P

I really ought to tell my brother that I need to nap... but I'm having fun, even though I'm tired. Apparently I'm like a child.

Happy to know that not only did I officially book my training course for my profession today, but I've just sent my college application away, too. Such productivity. Now we wait. :dreamy:

"Hey police, my 18 year old daughter who's moved to another country refuses to speak to me for reasons I can't possibly imagine after all the verbal and physical abuse, could you have her and her entire household arrested since I own her even after she's reached the legal adult age?" -My mother, ladies and gentlemen. :)

it means no worries wrote:Sorry for the late reply.

I think it really helps reduce unemployment and crime rates as it takes the uneducated and unruly youngster off the streets.

It improves the general health of the population which means that the national health service/health sector will not be put under as much strain and would therefore save millions.

I realise you say that discipline should be taught by schools, and i agree-but unfortunately quite a lot of the time that just isn't the case. Also promotion and the direct leadership of people that comes with it gives a sense of responsibility as well as discipline.

You make some good points I admit. (Though I do think that using conscription as a way of reducing unemployment is temporarily treating the symptom rather than the disease.) I guess it comes down whether you value free will over obligation even if it's beneficial.

And nah, I'm not from Germany. There's a few other states in Europe that still have conscription.

^ You've taken the flat you liked?

My mum took me to just about the only place for lunch in Shadowfax's town (my mum's childhood home town) that I hadn't already been to earlier.
