I breastfeed my baby and will do in public. I know there is alot of hate and people who think it's 'disgusting' but it's perfectly natural and mothers are entitled to feed wherever they want. But, pointlessly sharing a picture round on Facebook with the caption 'Share this to annoy people who find this offensive or disgusting' is just pointless and silly Why? Why do something like that..... Ugh.

Breastfeeding in public shouldn't be frowned upon and I have no idea why it is. Baby's hungry and needs to eat! "Public decency" or whatever doesn't matter more than the fact that there is a child who needs feeding.

EDIT: Regarding breastfeeding I'm actually starting to realize that I am in that group of people who totally thinks that women should be allowed to go topless in public, at least in any situation where a man would be able to.

I mean, I don't consider myself a radical feminist or anything but if that's not an example of something where men and women aren't equal, then what is? If one gender is allowed to show nipples and another isn't, for no other reason than the gender they were born into, that's the definition of sexism, imo.

The only difference between a man's nipples and a woman's nipples is that the woman's nipples have extra tissue around them. Often times, this tissue is exposed, and it's still considered acceptable. So obviously, it's not that part that's a taboo. Yet, men are able to show the areola, and no one cares about that. So obviously, that's not the taboo either.

Even if the concept of a body part being taboo made logical sense (which it doesn't), then you still have to admit that the issue with female toplessness is nonsensical.

Personally I think it's all pretty stupid, and if people just randomly started walking around naked I wouldn't care. But society tells us that's wrong, so I kinda just go along with it.
