I think disney retired the character after sarabis actress, madge sinclair, died of leukemia in 1995.

I don't really see this as a reason for Sarabi to disappear completely. After all they got new voice actors for Simba, Zazu and some other characters too.

Yeah but the original actors for simba, zazu, etc are still alive or never died from such unfortunate circumstances.

Or maybe she was under contract that no one else could voice her in animation like the og snow white.
