Data migration is complete, and I've swapped out the disks.
I can boot into Windoze within 10 seconds, and startup programs take an additional 20 to 30 seconds to load.
I'm not impressed yet, but I'm still yet to do tons of disk-intensive things that will probably blow me away.
EDIT: OK, you know when you double-click something like an audio file and there's a short hundred-or-so-millisecond delay between the final click and the music player playing it? With an SSD, that lag is no longer there. It was pretty disorienting to hear the music so soon after double-clicking it.

The loudest part of my computer is the exhaust fan. The HDD never makes any noticeable noise because 1) I'm always wearing headphones and 2) I thought all 2.5", single-platter 5400RPM drives were silent as heck.
The part where the hard drive compartment is located feels a tinge cooler, though, and that's great since it's where I rest my right hand.
