Rahks smiled at Astrid, even if he felt a bit awkward due to the situation. He stood up and give a small nod to Silver before turning to Aela I am sure she will learn well, that is if her teacher is any good hehe. Looks like I'll be bow less for a while. You mentioned that your smith could fix up my blades. Can he also work on bows?

"Oh I am the best archer in the Companions i'll have you know. Maybe one day we could hunt together" She said with a smirk and also a tone of challenge in her voice.

"And yes, I am sure he could make you a bow. Greymane's steel is legendary. I'll have him make something for you as soon as possible. But for now, you better rest up" She said.

***

Silver and Astrid had made their way to their room. Astrid had her own bed in the corner and the room was as it was left the day Silver departed. She slid out of her armor into her tunic and lay down on the bed where Astrid joined her. The child had placed the bow carefully on her own bed and was already falling asleep in Silver's arms before Silver could bid her a goodnight.

"I guess she is sleeping here tonight then.." Silver whispered to Farkus.

Farkus laughed and lay down on the other side of the bed so Astrid was between her parents. He gently grasped Silver's hand and lay his head back on the pillow, also falling into a deep sleep. Silver heaved a happy sigh, but there was also sorrow there. This life... It could never be hers whilst she was tied to the Dark Brotherhood.

Rahks smirked. A challenge of a hunt? How could he resist? But it had to wait for another day as. He bid Aela good night and lay down on the bed. Within moments his feel into a deep sleep

-----

As the morning sun kissed the sky, the city of Whiterun started to come alive for the days beginnings. Rahks awake from his sleep with a small yawn and a stretch. There was a cleaning bowl in the corner, to which he went over and gave his face a quick wipe down and headed out. The halls were rather quiet, not that it bothered Rahks as he made his way to the mail hall. Once there he took the first seat he came across, poured himself some water and began snacking on a half loaf

SilverEye woke from her restless sleep and saw that Farkus was sleeping opposite her still, his arm around their daughter and his hand still clinging to Silver's. For a moment Silver watched, enjoying their company and their smiles as they slept peacefully before her. Silver could not sleep so well as them these days though. The past haunted her still and sleep never came to her easily anymore. It was like thoughts of the past were forever being pushed to the front of her mind whenever she retired to sleep for the night.

During the day, brave face on, but come the nights... That's when it all hit her. Slowly, she pulled her hand away from Farkus and got to her feet. She strode across the room but halted in her tracks to look back at the peaceful sleepers. Nothing would ever be the same between her and Farkus again. Never. Did he really forgive her though? Could he forgive her entirely for all she had done to them? She knew she still loved him, but she wished she didn't. It would make the whole thing so much easier and less painful for her.

She could never get her old life back and she had to accept that. All the while she was in the Dark Brotherhood, she was a danger to the pair of them.

"Is that what I really want though? To be with them in the Brotherhood or to live my old life where i'd be hated by many and the relationship Farkus and I had strained by the memories of that day?" Silver muttered as she placed her hand on the door.

Sighing and with the tears coming, she bolted from the room.

***

Just as Rahk's went to pick up the roll and eat, an arrow pierced the fresh bread and sent it flying to the otherside of the room. The bread and arrow hit a pillar on the other side of the room.

"Sorry, were you going to eat that?" Aela teased as she strode out of the shadows towards the table.

She placed the bow down on the table before Rahks.

"Had to test it before I gave it to you. Eurland made this in the night for you"

Just as Rahks was about to take a bite an arrow zipped past and took the bread and locked it to a pillar. Rahks jumped off his seat and fell to the floor in shock Sweet blessings of Noctural!! What the.. He then looked up to see Aela with a perfectly tempered Ebony bow, engraved were markings of the Companions. Rahks stood and picked up the bow, giving the string a few pulls to test it. A wide smile came across his face Your smith does indeed know his craft well, give him my thanks

Aela smirked when Rahk's fell backwards onto the floor. She hadn't expected that sort of a reaction so was amused when he fell. She was also pleased that he liked the bow.

"I will be sure to do that. Now you've got no excuse not to come hunting with me" She smirked, passing him another bread roll.

Silver had found her way to the deserted skyforge and there she let all her emotions out. She had never felt grief like this before and when the crying finally stopped she felt like her eyes were going to seize up. They didn't though much to her relief and she stared out at the land.

"I should never have come here..." She muttered to herself as the sun began to rise higher and higher.

Rahks smirked and placed the bow on his back after testing it a few more times. He heard her words and smirked My my don't we sound boastful? You think you have a chance against a master of the theives guild and blessed by Noctural? He voice was smug but also had a playful tone. Taking the bread he happily began to eat

"Nocturnal?" Aela said with curiosity, strapping her own bow onto her back.

But the challenge he put to her caused her to laugh with utter amusement.

"Oh does the thief dare to challenge the greatest archer in the companions? Alright Khajit... I'll bet you ten gold pieces I can hit more straight targets than you in a minute. Shall we head out to the training ground, or are you too scared?" She teased, taking a bread roll herself now.

Rahks stood, realizing he had uttered Nocturals name, wondering how to best explain that he served a Deadric lord. Thankfully Aela changed the subject, one to peek his curiousity The master thief and the master hunter going head to head how could I refuse such a challenge He took out one of his swords and hurled it like a dart. It went hit Aela's loaf, a fair comeback he thought Lead the way Aela

Aela had half expected Rahks to get his revenge and she wasn't at all suprised when he threw a dagger through the middle of the bread roll she was holding onto.

"I didn't want to eat that anyway" She said with a shrug getting to her feet. "Alright then Mr Thief. Follow me and I will show you how to shoot straight" She said with a smirk and she began to head towards the door.

The morning was a cold one, but Aela's beast blood kept the shivering at bay. Silver caught sight of them from the Skyforge, so she ducked behind a pillar to avoid detection. Her eyes were still puffy and red and she didn't want to have to explain herself to anyone.
