Just read that yesterday. This photo seems to be causing quite a fuss, including me. But, even though I do agree it is cowardly and I absolutely hate it, she did not do anything illegal, and thats what most people are missing.

^ To be fair, that hunt was legal, and the money gained through that tourism is used to prep up the economy as well as fight a much bigger threat: poaching. The only thing wrong here is that it was made so public.

Whether or not it's legal is irrelevant. That wasn't really what I was referring to.

What's wrong is that we have a tendency to glorify our "achievements" while masking our own cowardice, to protect our oversized egos from being crushed.

No doubt about that, but I think the fuss is about how lions are held at such a high regard, and how its very easy to hunt and kill them. Meaning that you don't have to be a good hunter to kill a lion, just get yourself a good tour.
