A False Ancestor is a comic inspired by The Lion King.

Plot

The comics begins with Mufasa telling Simba one night that the stars are actually the ancestors (the Great Kings of the Past). The next morning, a stranger enters the Pride Lands, associated only by the name he later gives Simba: King Joe. Joe enters the Pride Lands in search of food, claiming he hasn't eaten in days. When a meteor crashes into the earth close to Joe, Simba assumes Joe is a star that fell from the sky and one of his ancestors.

At first, Joe is hesitant to be the little cub's ancestor, but when Simba offers him food, he can't help but play along. Joe tells stories of the time when he was king and how he fought off a thousand hyenas. Eventually, Mufasa and Zazu notice Simba had been busy for the past few days. They discover that he had been talking with a stranger posing as an ancestor, but they decide to let Simba uncover the stranger's identity by himself.

When Simba is nearly eaten by a crocodile, Joe saves his life, then leaves the Pride Lands in fear that he will be discovered for who he really is.
