The Pride Lands is the main setting for all three Lion King movies and for spin-off books, comics, etc. In the Pride Lands, a lion rules as king (called the Lion King). The Lion King keeps the peace between the animals. When a Lion King dies, his eldest son usually takes his place.
Residents and Visitors
The Pride Lands are inhabited by the Pridelanders for the entirety of The Lion King movies, books, comics and other media. In The Lion King, the Pridelanders considered leaving because of a shortage of food under Scar's rule, but when Simba returned as king, things returned to normal.
