The Outlands is an area near the Pride Lands with a desert-like terrain, small cliffs, trees, few plants, and seemingly no fauna.
Residents and Visitors
The Outlanders lived in an extremely large termite mound in the Outlands during The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, but left and rejoined the Pridelanders at the end of the movie.
Kiara, a princess of the Pride Lands, visited the Outlands as a cub while she was exploring outside of Simba's established path. This visit resulted in her first encounter with an Outlander: Kovu.
