How sad yet how funny it is that my phone is 50x faster than that slow as sin Ice Cream Sandwich Android tablet.

Still debating if I should go tonight. I like hanging out with them, but I feel like this is a stupid idea.

^ I'd go, if I were you. It's better than lazing around being a vegetable all weekend.

^ Are you kidding? If I ever got a weekend where I could laze around and be a vegetable the whole time I would rejoice.

^ The point is, fun people can make stupid things fun. There's nothing worse than talking yourself out of doing something, only to later realize that you created a lame excuse not to go out, and missed a good time in the process. Don't let the fear of doing something stupid prevent you from having fun.

I'm only speaking from experience, here. I know I do it all the time, and it always sucks.

Actually, you know what? I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think that's what fun is. It's spontaneously doing stupid things, for no reason at all. If you say it's stupid, then you're not letting yourself have fun.

As long as no one gets hurt and you're not breaking any laws, why not do something stupid?

^ That's only some stupid things, and not everything that's fun is stupid. :ha: Video games aren't all stupid, they're loads of fun, books and movies too, so long as the story is interesting enough.

I do agree though, having fun people around increases the fun factor of any situation. Maybe that's why I'd rather be alone than be around the only people I could go places with, cos they make things unfun. :P

But that's just it. A lot of people think video games are stupid. I'm sure you've heard those arguments before.

As for the other examples, you can't honestly tell me you've never thought that a book or movie was going to be stupid, but then you gave it a try and actually liked it. Everyone does that. For me, TLK was actually one of those movies. HTTYD was another.

Everything is stupid, if you think about it enough. That's the problem--you can't overthink it. Fun and thinking are complete opposites.

Sometimes thinking can be fun, but that's only when I allow myself to be ridiculous with it. Y'know, like creating a graph to represent how many woodchucks could chuck wood, arguing about religion, or making long posts on here that hardly anyone reads.
