Rahks just sat and pondered a moment So... she joined the guild to save her sister... but left behind a family. A risky move, especially as it seems dear Astrid is quite happy where she is. Silver smirked, and took the meat off him gratefully. Still, at the mention of her being skilled and able to acomplish her goals, her eyes softened and she stared down at the chicken leg in her hand. Maybe she could still save her?

"Thanks" The old companion muttered before taking a bite of the chicken leg.

Silver had never told anyone other than Astrid her tale and in all honesty she felt better for it. Atleast Rahks now knew that if anyone approached to be cautious. Her thoughts drifted to Aela for a moment.. She often hunted in these parts and maybe she was watching them. That made her uneasy and she looked around cautiously.

Rahks gave a smile to Silver then silently ate his meal. Before long he had finished and lay down over his bedroom You should rest, we will leave before daybreak, it is the safest time on these roads He turned over letting his back feel the warmth of the fire and slow drifted to sleep

Silver sighed and threw the chicken bone aside. As Rahks fell into a light sleep she muttered;

"You can't let your guard down out here.. Guess i'll keep watch"

With a slight smile she looked out over at Whiterun and began to wonder if her daughter was safe and well and wether or not she remembered her mother. That thought made her sad and SilverEye allowed a tear to roll down her cheek in the moonlight.

When dawn came, Silver had not slept a wink, yet she was alert and wide awake, ready for the new day.

Rahks awoke the next morning stretching up and yawning, making a small growling noise as he did. Today the sky was clear and there was no breeze, the sun had not yet graced the land but its light was peaking over the mountains to the east. He stood up and shook himself awake, only then to see Silver waiting Morning Silver He went to his horse and pulled out some bread and water, offering them to Silver I trust you are rested, or at least ready to go?

Silver took the bread gratefully. She was glad Rahks was awake now for she had not enjoyed the solitude last night.

"Im fine. How about you? Did you get a decent nights sleep?"

She knew he had slept for she'd been awake all night, but felt like she better ask to make conversation and to make him think that she too had slept. She took a bite out of the bread before standing up and walking over to the fire place.

Ah well enough for a hard floor I guess He began packing his things up, putting out the fire and ate some bread with left over skeever himself If we ride out soon, we can be in Riften by about noon easily. I must ask however. Do you have a change of clothes or long robe? Your assassins gear will draw attention , something we do not need, hence why I removed my armor

Silver blinked at this. Of course.. her armor would be a dead give away out there. She sighed. The only other 'armor' she had was her old dragon scale armor and that was in her old home in Whiterun.. If it was still there that was.

"No... i don't.." She said awkwardly and a feeling of stupidity gripped her.

At that moment, Shadowmere trotted up to her and gently nuzzled her hand. SilverEye stroked the horses nose and looked back at Whiterun for a moment.

"It's not worth the risk"

Rahks also looked out the window then back Silver, he thought a moment and rummaged around in his sack. He pulled out a purple black clean robe with a belt and hood and handed it over You can use this, it will do to not raise eyebrows, there is a hidden slit in both sleeves to keep a dagger open for you should you need it

Silver was silent for a moment. She didn't like the idea of ditching her armor for a robe. She always felt more comfortable in heavy armor, so going into the brotherhoods light armor was bad enough, but a robe? The nord hesitated for a moment before slowly outstretching her hand. She slipped the robe over her head, leaving her dark brotherhood armor on underneath.

"I won't ditch my armor, but i'll cover it up" She told Rahks stubbornly.
