^ No, you don't understand. They say it's all going to happen suddenly. Like, they think the plates aren't all moving. And actually, only part of California is going anywhere in the foreseeable future, and it's going to take aaaaaages. And the movement it undergoes is just going to be to slide up the coast for a while. The whole state is not going to "fall off into the ocean."

And earthquakes can't be definitely predicted, so there's no way to say "sudden catastrophic earthquakes will destroy everything."

This is an end of the world prophecy. Regular tectonic activity.

Awesome. Birthday gift for mom taken care of over a month in advance. Who says you need money to get someone a gift they'll love? :P

I am such an idiot for being awake this late. But, I have to say, that wasn't what I expected to see when I read "capacitor fail." I've seen capacitors fail, but never quite like that.

Browsing on /g/ when:
Spoiler: show
>NRA nuthead walks in door, brandishes his firearm before getting his laptop out of it's case.
>Fed up because he can't get his wifi to work.
>"I can put a 50 caliber round into a 4 inch target at X hundred meters. I'm leaving this here for one hour. If it's not fixed when I come back, you'll be sorry."
>Can't find any issues at all.
>Question customer about home network.
>He doesn't have a wireless router. He has dial-up internet.
If I were given an hour to do my thang under the threat of death, I'd do it while listening to Flying Dreams on repeat. That song really makes me feel like savouring and cherishing things... Speaking of Flying Dreams, I've never seen The Secret of NIMH and I should probably get it on DVD some time...

I dunno if this counts, but apparently I've been a furry for a really long time without knowing.

There's this game on the old XBox called Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space... Featuring anthropomorphic cats. I first played it in 2005 (when I was 9 years old). It was my favourite game for some time... Screw it, I'm picking up the controller and playing some Blinx.
