Hatari simply smiles, a sick smile and tilts his head upwards. 'Do it. I dare you. Kill off an innocent creature. You 'humans' are all the same. You may THINK you own the lands, but you don't....'

Giovanni steps in front of him and stares back determined at River.

"Don't do something you'll regret, River." He says, calmly.

Lana steps back slightly and Ryder cowers.

'Like I said, HUMANS are all the same, I could make you submit, you are human therefore, you are weak.'

I am not human, she said in a gravely voice, her eyes flashing red for a second. I am no more human than you are. But you are so narrow minded that you cannot even see past my facade. You know nothing of me. She stepped towards him, pushing past Giovanni. I rule dragons, the mightiest creatures to walk upon this earth. Does that make you think nothing? I. Am. NOT. Human. And never mistake me for one. She lifted a hand, a lightly touched his cheek. There was a hissing sound as a small burn appeared where she touched. She cocked her head. My father was a devil; my mother a witch. And my protectors are dragons. She stepped back, turning her now blue eyes to Giovanni.

'I apologise,' she said softly, looking up at him sincerely. 'But I do not regret my actions. And , if it's any consolation, you are no enemy of mine.'

He nods, shocked. Hatari doesn't flinch. 'Dragons are no more powerful than a wolf.' He snarls, before leaving the cave, green eyes turning orange.

"Are you ok?" Giovanni asks, still a little shocked, "He's just a little......."

'Dragons don't need packs,' River muttered. She was exhausted, and as she turned to sit down, she stumbled and fell. Giovanni caught her, and she thanked him, still weak.

Outside, Hatari shakes his head and smirks, he sends River a telepathic message: ' Just remember, where-ever he goes, I'll go.' he grins before leaving.

River ignores him.

And wherever I go, they will follow, she replied icily. She slipped into the corner, nauseas. She closed her eyes, and let Matias rest his head on her lap.

Ryder, still spooked slumps to the floor, wide eyed and shaking. Lana frowns slightly and kneels by her to comfort her. Giovanni frowns, staring out to the icy wasteland. Hatari was nowhere to be seen.

River wrapped the blanket around her, eyes wide open. She wouldn't be able to sleep now. It had been so long since she had exerted her authority; and she'd be damned if that thing didn't submit soon. She would happily let the dragons kill him, but she doubted Giovanni would be happy with that...

'Who was he?' She asked Giovanni. 'You never answered.'

"oh...He's a....well...I'm not exactly sure what...But he's kind of my guardian....He's called Hatari..." Giovanni acknowledges, still staring at the snow. Lana mutters something and turns away, sighing.

"Well, it's almost dawn, should we get moving?" She asks.
