Kopa felt relieved that Almasi was comforted by his words however, the blissful male was a bit caught off guard by the young lioness’ next question that she posed to him. Hearing the change in Almasi’s voice, Kopa sensed an air of sadness in her tone, causing a wave of pity to sweep over him as he paused in mid stride to lean down and give Almasi a soft nuzzle before he replied in a caring voice.
”Of course we want you around Almasi. You’re a very sweet and caring lioness and you deserve to have someone who cares about you and looks after you. Both Rahina and I chose to look after you because we care about you and want you to feel loved. You’ll always have a home with us as long as you’d like to stay with us.”
Smiling down at the young lioness, Kopa continued along his way, arriving at The Private Waterhole and spotting both Kivuli and Mila not too far off. Meeting with Kivuli’s gaze briefly, Kopa nodded in a friendly gesture as he and his small family made their way back to their den. Once at the entranceway, Kopa paused and stepped aside, allowing both Almasi and his beloved lioness to enter the den first as he bowed in a playful manner and spoke.
”Ladies first.”

Nala watched as Penda took her fill of the left over wildebeest before her friend returned to her side and spoke to her. Blushing in an embarrassed fashion from Penda’s observation of her figure, the cream colored queen raised a paw toe to her muzzle as to hush her friend before she spoke in a soft and quiet voice.
”Yes, indeed, that is one of the subjects that Simba and I will be discussing, although he’s still unaware of my current state, but come tomorrow, he’ll know and will have to deal with it. The other matter that we’ll be covering is a bit more complicated than that, but to put it simply, without bringing up unpleasant memories for the both of us, our son Kopa just might be alive, and actually living with us right now, but Simba is having a hard time accepting this fact, so I have a lot of work to do to try and convince him that his eyes aren’t deceiving him and that our precious Kopa has come back to us.”
Smiling over at the ebony furred lioness, Nala spotted her mate, who had just now came into the den, motioning a paw to him as she called over to him in a happy tone.
”Look who the cat dragged in Sweetie.”
Upon hearing his mate’s statement, Simba’s eyes fell upon Penda as a broad smile worked its way upon the king’s muzzle. Shaking off the chill from the night that had insisted on covering his fur, Simba moved in and greeted Penda in the same manner that Nala had, nuzzling her and speaking in a pleasant voice.
”Good to see you again Penda. I was wondering when you’d come home. Where’s Raj…” Simba’s voice trailed off as he spotted his mate’s signal to cease what he was saying, quickly amending for his words as he resumed speaking. ”Oh, never mind. Forget I asked. It’s good to have you home again though Penda and our prayers are with him, wherever he might be.”
