Sirom watched on as the panther disappeared into the tree. Not having a slight idea what to do next, the young lion turned his full attention to Songo. He listened to her suggestion and nodded in response. The weather was drastically changing and the concluded sunlight made things much frigid around their surroundings. Sirom's pelt felt like it was going to turn into an icicle as he began to follow close behind of Songo who was leading the way towards their den.
"You're right about one thing, the weather is getting really cold. Once we get back to the den, we should talk more about this other lion." Sirom alluded as he picked up speed to stay in sync with the attractive lioness. After each passing minute, Sirom grew much colder and his fore paws were beginning to ache. He knew it wasn't long till they reached their as he noticed a familiar hill that indicated they were close.
Steadily moving along, Sirom spotted their cozy den and immediately stepped inside. He was already panting a bit heavily by this point while lowering his fuzzy, tawny colored haunches against the warm ground. Fixating his brownish eyes on Songo, Sirom seated himself more erect before speaking.
"It feels great about to be in a warmer area, doesn't it? Anyway Songo, this lion and your father... How long have the two been fighting for? It seems your father really irritated him." Sirom inquired, slowly inching himself closer to the enchanting lioness. He figured she must be more chilled by this point as he pressed his warm, furry body against her pelt.
Viku, who was dozing off peacefully in his den suddenly awoke from a bellowed yell.
"Viku! Why are you sleeping? I didn't put you on this quest just so you can doze off! Wake up!" An antagonized lion yelled.
Viku stirred a little in his sleep before opening up his eyes. Having a blurry vision, he recognized that voice and hurriedly moved up into a sitting position. He couldn't believe that his leader found him so suddenly.
"I'm sorry boss, I was... Well... I didn't mean to..." Viku was lost for words, unable to come up with a valuable excuse as he knew commotion was going to be coming his way.
"You know how much this quest means to me Viku. I do not tolerate mistakes, laziness and lack of concentration. You're second in command in this pride and I expect the best from you, do you understand?" The bulky, muscular lion inexorably said. No one really had a good look of this lion and by many, a few never ever lived to tell of his appearance.
Viku remained motionless, startled to even make a move or talk as he knew any unpleasant situation might bring out the worse of his king. Although things weren't looking good for him, Viku took a deep breath and tried to ease some tension.
"I managed to find your lioness sire. She's wandering around these parts of the jungle... There's just one problem though." Viku stated, briefly looking away.
"Go on, tell me Viku." The immoral king replied in a calm tone, realizing that his revenge was only a few minutes away or even hours. Regardless, he was feeling more exceptional.
Viku nodded submissively and spoke up in a more shaky tone.
"She's with another lion. A lion that I had never came across before. He appears to be alone too, so I'm guessing they are either friends or soul mates." Viku finished, narrowing his frighten eyes down to the dark colored ground. He didn't dare to lock eyes with his king, knowing too well on what may happen.
The vicious immoral king grinned partially and slipped out a low chuckle. It has been a long time since he was in any sort of physical contact and majority of his fights don't last long due to how much durability he can sustain. Taking one step forward towards the frighten Viku, the sinful king spoke up more collectedly.
"No matter, I'll deal with our obstacle. In the meantime, I want you to follow them, tell me where they are staying and report back. Do you understand?" The agitated king addressed.
"Yes sire, I'll see what I can do. I won't mess up this time." Viku stated proudly, giving his fluffy chest a small puff.
"Good, I'll see you soon. And Viku, don't mess up this time or you'll be facing big consequences." The immoral king tranquilly said, already departing from the cramped den and out into the open, dingy jungle. Within a few seconds, he disappeared into a lush of trees that surrounded Viku's presence.
Viku, who was still startled by his king's existence still shook him up quite a bit. Taking in a few deep breaths, the troubled lion lowered himself down onto his furry stomach and decided to wait till morning broke out. By then, he'll make sure to do his duties and hopefully won't fall short this time.
