I sighed, padding down the rock and instead of sitting on it, I just stood there. My breathing was shaking and I prepared myself for a full blown wail. Suddenly, I saw a green flash behind me, and I knew who that was.

"Oh...what's the matter with the diamond?" Knuckles purred, and I lowered my head sadly. "There's no reason to be sad, honey...Reese is off on her own, Alec has taken my place and we're going to be echidnas again! We're going off with everyone else! We're going home...aren't you excited?"

"Knuxtie..." I said, turning around. "That's not why we're here today..."
"I know you're upset about Jessica's passing."
"Less than Tails is!" I growled. "That stupid fox will never get over that. I'll be better by the time we get home."
"So you'll get over it in a week."
