Why is there no how-to-draw serval tutorials?

Because many people don't know they exist. If you want to get better at drawing them, I'd advise checking out some other people's drawings of them (Firestar on the FAA/KaiserTiger at dA does them well, and I have drawn some myself, though nowhere near as good as hers) and find a good photo or several photos to use as a ref, and then just go from there. Practice until you get the style you like.
