Revenge - Shadowfax and Tsuki [Private]

[Shadowfax]

"They are not my pride mates. They never have been. Mother told me not to trust them after they killed off the last king. They are all expendable assets, any who are part of a pride of lions is. I must find my mother and make sure she is safe. She left the pridelands a few days ago with an injury in her legs I am told" The lioness said.

She looked over at Zuberi.

"Are you sure you haven't seen her?"

[Tsuki]

Zuberi stopped dead in his tracks. This Lioness didn't trust her own kind as well. But her MOTHER had told her not to. And her mother had an injured leg? Could that be Nova? No. It couldn't be. Nova hated lions so she would never get with a male. Or would she? Had she been lying to him? Was she using him and was going to hand him over to the King when she was recovered? But hadn't she said she ran away? There were just too many questions. But if this was Nova's cub, there must be a good reason as to why she left her behind. And Zuberi was in no position to reunite a lost family.

"As I said. I'm new around here. I tend to avoid your kind."

He turned his head so that she could see the Scars on the left side of his face.

The adolescent looked at him with interest. Seeing the scars, she felt a pang of sympathy for him. She looked away at her next words.

"Oh really? Shame.. You can't be the one who found her apparently dead then" The lioness said with a slight smirk, very much like Nova's.

Nova was resting by the border still, wondering where Zuberi had gotten too. Or perhaps, he had just abandoned her. She growled with annoyance. Surely now the lionesses had passed so she could go and look for him possibly? The lioness got to her feet and began to walk off in the direction she had come.

[Tsuki]

Zuberi frowned. Was this lioness deliberately wasting his time? He had to catch up with Nova before she began to think that he had abandoned her. He needed her. Without her there was no way that he could get his revenge on the King.

"A Dead Lioness? Thought you creatures were made of harder stuff."

He smirked.

"But surely your pride will come looking for you if you stay out here too long. I would run along now. Who knows, maybe your mum is back in your....what is it you lions live in? A den?"

He shrugged

"Either way I had better get going."

He walked round the lioness, hoping that she wouldn't follow him.

The lioness looked at him with annoyed eyes, yet she remained perfectly calm. She watched Zuberi walk around her, then began to head in the same direction. She could tell he was going to try something else, but she knew he was hiding something and she intended to find out what.

Nova began to head towards the two figures. She could see one was Zuberi, but who was the other? She growled as she approached, hoping it wasn't a pridelander spy.

[Tsuki]

Zuberi decided it was best not to run off. He didn't want to look suspicious. But he knew that the lioness would probably follow him. He had to reach Nova before she did. He looked ahead and saw Nova prowling through the grass towards him.

"I thought you were heading for the border." he hissed. "There's no time. Theres a young lioness looking for you and she is probably following me. Keep down."

He looked over his shoulder and saw the young lioness approaching. They had to leave now or else they would have to fight her off.

Nova nearly walked straight into Zuberi, but stopped just in time. She growled with annoyance, but at his mentioning of someone looking for her, she growled. The damn hornbill had seen her dead.. Why would they send out others to look for her? She growled with frustration at that too.

"This lioness, what did she look like?" Nova asked as they walked away back towards the border.

The little lioness could just about see them up ahead now, so she quickened her pace to catch up to them.

[Tsuki]

Zuberi's ears twitched.

"Theres no time. You played dead so it's better off you remain dead right?"

He looked over his shoulder again and hissed in annoyance.

"Though she somehow thinks you are her mother. Though I guess all cubs think all the pride lionesses are their mothers. Come ON Nova! We need to move!"

He gave her a nudge with his paw in order to get her moving.

"Mother? Wait...." Nova stopped, ignoring Zuberi's protesting nudge.

Nova peered through the grass to see the approaching little lioness. She suddenly gasped and her jaw dropped in utter astonishment.

"Vex?!" She exclaimed as the lioness came into view.

"Hey mum. I knew your cheetah friend was hiding something from me. I knew you wouldn't be dead" She said with an expression which was half a smirk and half a proud grin.

"Zuberi.. This is indeed my daughter" She said looking at the cheetah's confused face.

[Tsuki]

Zuberi blinked in confusion. So this WAS Nova's daughter.

"Your...daughter? But I thought you hated Lions."

Zuberi frowned and looked at the young lioness who Nova had called Vex. What other secrets was Nova hiding from him? Was this a trap? He lowered his head and hissed loudly. Not taking his eyes of this new lioness. He couldn't possible fight two lionesses. But he could outrun them. He wasn't prepared to put his life on the line. He had thought Nova needed his help but this was looking more and more like a trap. He backed away slightly. Getting ready to run if needs be.

"What is going on here? What other things have you been hiding from me Nova?"
