You're not going to make decent money without an education. Unfortunately, one needs money to get an education. Thats the problem that has plagued our society for centuries. It's how the rich stay rich, and the poor stay poor.

Thankfully, my parents understand that. Even when my family was poor enough to qualify for food stamps, my parents were saving up money for me to go to college.

Being poor isn't anywhere near as bad as being financially unstable. The more money you have, the more you have to lose--and the more unstable of a situation you end up in.

^True, true. What I meant was that if I got a job somehow, I'd end up saving it up seeing as I do not have to pay rent, nor do I participate in a lot of social activities like going to the movies and whatnot. And I also kind of hate shopping unless it's for books and tea. I have goals, and I am going to save my money to reach those goals.

My parents never saved up for me to go to college, I have to earn the money myself and pay for it. They probably would've been able to afford college for me had we not moved to Canada, but moving to Canada was expensive and then my parents didn't want to work for the first year and a half that we lived here and so because of that we are now in this situation. But we'll muddle through! :)

^Wishing both of you the best! Me and my family have been fortunate enough to not have to go through any financial troubles, so I don't have much advice to give.

I really need to hang out with her! But, my parents do not understand the concept of boys and girls being friends and nothing else.

Food shop and chill out morning, then I think I might go watch the Alan Partridge movie this afternoon.

Ugh life is going wrong again. School starts back up in two days and my gran is getting a little weaker. Plus my new guy friends are ignoring me and my friend.. I don't know what I've did to deserve this. Curling up in my deep depression, trust no one ball. >.<

^ Sorry to hear that people are ignoring you and that you have to go to school.
But I think it belongs in the whining thread tbh.
