Wow, it's great to see this comic in its entirety here. Your coloring is beautiful, and your line-work looks so sweeping and effortless.

And woah...a pre-SP comic about Zira's exile that DOESN'T have her being exiled for murdering Kopa!? Inconceivable! : D

And since I know someone is eventually going to say this, so I guess I'll get it out of the way: It's interesting how you made Kovu and Vitani's father (Cole, right?) look so different than them. In your version of the TLK universe, do Kovu and Vitani get the traits that their parents and maternal grandparents lack (brown fur, blue eyes, green eyes, etc.) from Cole's parents)? I'm not trying to be confrontational or anything, I'm just curious.

It occoured to me as I was drawing Cole today...I didn't give him green or blue eyes! D: but eh, my brother has green eyes when my dad has blue eyes and my mum has brown...so I didn't worry too much about it, they probably got the eye colour from some granparent XD

I was trying to make Cole look as much like a male Vitani as possible (colour wise) that's why I gave him the lighter "fringe"
No idea where Kovus colours came from XD maybe that's just the way he was born XD I dunno
That's why Zira was thankful that one of the cubs atleast looked a bit like Scar so he'd stop accusing her of cheating...not that he really cared about her, he just didn't like the notion that he was losing power over her.

This is my family tree...It's in the process of being re-done though

Oh -- and all this time I thought there was a particular reason you gave him red (and not blue or green) eyes. : P No worries, though. He looks cool no matter what color his eyes are.

Ohhhh...I can't believe I never noticed that before. It all makes sense now.

And I've seen your family tree before, and it looks really good. A lot of the original characters in it have great designs.
