This topic actually confuses me. There were only Scar and Mufasa as the two males in the pride, so one had to be the father.

No, neither Scar nor Mufasa is Nala's father. We'll never find out who was Nala's dad.

Scar cannot the one since Nala hates him and didn't care about his death. They have nothing similar anyways. Nuka is the only cub of Scar since he did even admit it in SP. Mufasa cannot be the one either because of Simba talks to Nala about HIS father.

Nuka is not Scar's son. A few years ago, the director of Simba's Pride confirmed that Zira was not Scar's mate therefore neither Nuka (or Vitani) are Scar's offspring.

When Nuka died, Zira mourns over him even stating "Oh, Scar, watch over my poor Nuka!" The "my" in that line strongly indicates Nuka is her son by blood.

If Nuka wasn't Zira's son then the movie would've revealed that to us, otherwise it would be too difficult for the younger viewers to figure out. Everything in SP is as it is right now and has always been, and no fan-based theory is going to change anything about that. >>

Let's look at a few things here:

If Nuka wasn't Zira's son, then why did Nuka call Zira "Mother?"

Suppose that Nuka was adopted. Why would Zira have looked after Nuka, if he wasn't her son? He's not even capable of cleaning himself, and we're shown that Zira neglects him because he's basically worthless in her eyes.

Nuka also shares Scar's same body type, and his color suggests that he could easily be the offspring of Zira and Scar.

Nuka specifically states that "Scar wasn't even his father, he just took him in," when referencing Kovu. Considering the context of the situation, in which Nuka is stating reasons why he should have been the chosen one, I always interpret this as Nuka implying that he was Scar's son, hence his resentment toward Kovu and his desire to please Zira. For this reason, I imagine that Nuka was a cub during Scar's death.

Kovu and Nala, however, I believe to be the offspring of rogue males, or males from a neighboring pride. It's incredibly stupid to assume that Mufasa, Simba, Nuka, and Kovu are the only guys around.

Especially considering the fact that there are more cubs than Simba and Nala in the expanded universe, we almost have to assume that there were more males as well.
