well, if the other lion in Brightest Star were a part of their family tree, that could be where Scar got his looks from (and perhaps his attitude lol). but if you look at Ahadi's design in the book, his nose bridge is like Scars and he has a similar color of "eyeshadow". and if you just use that design with the corrections of the black mane and green eyes from the written description, then there's a good deal of resemblence between Ahadi and both his sons.

I know 2 brothers who look almost absolutely nothing alike, they're eyes are only just a little similar in shape. so a difference between Scar and Mufasa isn't that major a thing.

Scar is the grandson of Mohatu, I don't think the evil lion in that book is in any way related to Scar.
It's even possible that there are several generations between Mohatu and Ahadi (Scars and Mufasas father)

I really want to believe this lion is Scar's grandfather and Ahadi's father. I reminds me of (king) Joe a lot.

I'd also want to think that lion was Mohatu's brother. According to someone's theory on TLKFAA, Mohatu was still alive when Taka and Mufasa were cubs, and Mufasa wanted to hear a story. Mohatu started to tell him the story of the selfish lion, that was also Mohatu's brother. He was named Choyo which means selfish, but despite his name, he adored his brother a lot and wanted to be like him, and he didn't mind him being king at all. But some weeks before Mohatu was gonna be king, his father told him to exile his brother to protect his throne and his life. Mohatu didn't like this, but as time passed, he decided the day he became king to exile his brother, and he left heartbroken and confused. He would cause sometimes trouble in the kingdom, but Mohatu wouldn't banish him because he regretted his brother, and he finished the story. But Scar was behind some bushes, hearing the story, scared that his brother would exile him thinking he would kill him if he wouldn't. Mufasa and Mohatu saw him and Mufasa hugged him little brother and told his not to worry, because he would never exile him. And unfortunately, Scar did kill his brother in the future... Mufasa had a really good heart not to exile him through. ):

I hope this isn't too off-topic. It's kinda sad, because Choyo was exiled for something he would never do, while Scar was never exiled but he did kill his brother. ):

If you think of it this way though it is another generation getting revenge for what Mohatu did to Choyo. Symblocly Choyo was Scar and Mohatu was Mufassa. I guess you can look at it as evening the balences of what should have been done generations ago. Gosh Carma gives me a head ache! :headache: Any who I do believe however that it would make sense for the selfish Lion or Choyo to be related to Scar for the fact that they look and act so much alike and to make the storyline better. It would be interesting to see that Scar was doomed to get revenge on his brother because of some injustice done generations previous.

Firstly I think that Scar is the most badass Disney villain of them all. I kinda think that Lion King is like a tragedy for Scar. He lives a life of subordination and jealousy and then kills his brother and tries to kill his nephew thinking it will make things better. And in the end he falls to his nephew who is avenging his father. So like it's hard not to feel bad for him.

I totally agree with that. It's impossible that one person/character can be ALL bad. There must be a really sad backstory behind Scar, that goes way beyond random jealousy. It inspired me to write a fanfic about him (but mostly about Zira) I think the word "villain" is way too judging. Nobody's all evil. But I understand, in a children's movie, or at least a family-appropriate movie, you have to keep things simple. :headache:
