Guess what? Considering that the rest of my family was awake during the night for that reason, I used the opportunity to spend the past two hours explaining the fundamental concepts of calculus to my younger sister, who has barely even been taught algebra. Dad leaves, so it's family math class at 4AM, basically.

I'm so weird...

Oh well, I wouldn't have it any other way. Someone's gotta lighten the mood somehow. What better way is there, than to discuss differentiation, integration, the idea behind the limit process, and its application to physics?

Sorry to hear he's been sent out there again Reg.. I thought they were starting to withdraw troops now?!

I hate being heartbroken over him when we never even dated. I honestly need to toughen up a bit. O.O

Now, they're saying the troops will be withdrawn by 2014.

But that's not entirely the way it works. Whenever we talk about withdrawing troops, we mean the bulk of troops, not all of them. It simply means reducing the number.

The way it works, is that the units that are in Afghanistan are constantly switching out. The guys who have been there for a while get to leave, and new ones come to take their place, every so often.

That being said, this deployment almost wasn't going to happen. But my dad is also one of the most unluckiest people on the face of the Earth... so there you go.

I'm not looking for sympathy. It really doesn't affect me that much. I'm 19 years old, I can handle being on my own. I'm going to be moving away from my parents very soon, anyway.

It's just upsetting because I know he doesn't want to go, and it's pretty dangerous out there. He told me how awful the living conditions were last time, and every time I think about that, I can't help but cringe. It's a very cruel thing to do to a person, especially when they already have a family of their own.

But that's life, I suppose. Let's all try to kill each other like the barbaric human beings we are, the way God intended.
