What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

paranormal activity can be quite scary because it looks realistic. it still doesn't give me nightmares, but it's one of the few movies that are the closest to the ''scariest'' movies I ever watched.

The Ring

Oh god this movie is so depressing. It is a good psychological horror film, but the imagery is quite disturbing. You have the rainy-blue-very drab looking environment and the cinematography is also pretty good as well, but I don't think I would be able to handle films like this, especially sleeping during the night. Also, the fact that Samara Morgan is played by Daveigh Chase (the girl who voiced Lilo from Lilo and Stitch) is pretty creepy. Yes, we do feel bad for Samara because of the way her family treated her and her past was dark, but she's still scary coming out of the well. Whoa those distorted faces give me the chills! O.O

The Orphanage. That was beyond terrifying. Watched it in Spanish class years ago and I nearly died.
Paranormal Activity (like Nicholas said, because of how realistic everything looks. Couldn't even finish the third one)
The Ring was pretty creepy. I felt bad for Samara though.

I'm never going to watch The Boy In The Striped Pajamas again. It wasn't scary, just extremely upsetting...

Sweeney Todd is a "horror" film I watch rather a lot, but I see it as more of a musical with a twisted plot more than anything- it's not scary unless you hate blood and gore IMO Dantes Peak was the volcano film I referred to in my first post; again this film wasn't really a "horror" film, but OHHHH EMMM GEEEE, the way the old woman dies makes me crumple up into nothingness lol

I also watched a pretty rough animated movie called The Plague Dogs. It's more depressing than scary, but there's one bit involving a dead body that still gives me the shivers It's image has never left me

The Grudge
Watched it a couple of years ago with my hubbie and couldn't even finish it. Or sleep that night. At least he found that amusing
But it still creeps me out just thinking about it ... the way it moved and the sound it made...
